The SUPROCKY RTR140 consists of a main fan unit with an integrated control panel and a separate upper diffuser. The system is designed to be installed through a wall, with the main unit on one side and the diffuser on the other, facilitating air transfer between rooms.

The main unit measures approximately 11.2 inches in height and 16.5 inches in width (grille front). The diffuser measures approximately 3 inches in height and 15.5 inches in width (diffuser front). The depth of the grille side is 3.8 inches, and the diffuser side is adjustable from 3.3 to 4.6 inches.

Installation

The RTR140 fan is designed for through-wall installation. Proper wiring and wall preparation are crucial for safe and effective operation. This product requires hardwiring; please ensure you are comfortable with electrical wiring or consult a professional.

Required Tools and Materials (Not Included):

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Wall Openings:
    • Cut a 13.5" x 1.3" hole for installing the diffuser. This hole should be on the side of the wall where the diffuser will be visible.
    • Cut a 13.8" x 8.6" hole for installing the main fan unit. This hole should be on the opposite side of the wall from the diffuser.
    • Important Note: Wall studs must be spaced a minimum of 16" on center to accommodate the unit. It is recommended to choose a stud wall section that contains a power outlet for wiring convenience.
  2. Connect Power Cord: Connect the power cord according to the provided wiring instructions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and insulated. Refer to local electrical codes for proper wiring procedures.
  3. Install the Room to Room Fan: Carefully insert the main fan unit into its designated wall opening.
  4. Secure the Unit: Screw the unit into place using appropriate fasteners to fix it securely to the wall structure.
  5. Install the Diffuser: Insert the diffuser into its opening and secure it.

Note: This product requires wiring. Always ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.

Operating Instructions

The SUPROCKY RTR140 features a smart control panel for easy operation. The control panel includes Mode, Set, and Speed buttons.

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the Mode button to turn the fan on or off.
  • Mode Selection: Press the Mode button to cycle through the different operating modes:
    • Cooling Trigger: Fan activates when the temperature exceeds a set point, moving cooler air into the room.
    • Heating Trigger: Fan activates when the temperature falls below a set point, moving warmer air into the room.
    • Continuous Operation: Fan runs continuously at the selected speed, regardless of temperature.
  • Temperature Setting: Press the Set button to adjust the desired temperature. The temperature can be set from 35°F to 99°F (approximately 1.7°C to 37.2°C). The fan will stop when the specified temperature is reached in Cooling or Heating Trigger modes.
  • Adjust Wind Speed: Press the Speed button to cycle through the five available fan speeds. Press and hold the fan speed button to turn the screen off.

The RTR140 can be configured for various airflow patterns to optimize temperature balance:

  • Ceiling to Floor: Air is drawn from a higher point in one room and directed towards a lower point in another.
  • Floor to Ceiling: Air is drawn from a lower point in one room and directed towards a higher point in another.
  • Straight Through: Air is transferred directly through the wall at a similar height between two rooms.

These configurations help make rooms adjacent to ductless heating/cooling systems more comfortable by effectively distributing air.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your SUPROCKY RTR140 fan.

  • Cleaning:
    • Before cleaning, always disconnect power to the unit at the circuit breaker.
    • Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan unit and diffuser with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • Periodically vacuum or brush away any dust accumulation from the grilles to maintain airflow efficiency.
  • Inspection:
    • Periodically check for any loose screws or connections.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions to the airflow on either side of the fan.

Troubleshooting
