Introduction

The Runstar Smart Scale is designed to provide comprehensive body composition analysis, helping you monitor and track your health and fitness progress. This digital bathroom scale offers high accuracy and integrates seamlessly with the Starfit App, allowing for detailed data tracking and synchronization with other popular fitness platforms.

Setup Guide

Initial Setup

1. Remove the insulator strip from the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale.
2. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Avoid carpets or uneven flooring for accurate measurements.
3. Lightly step on the scale to activate it. The display will show "0.0" or "0.00" indicating it's ready for use.

App Installation and Pairing (Starfit App)

To unlock the full body composition analysis features, download and pair the Starfit app:

1. Download the "Starfit" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
4. Open the Starfit app and navigate to the "My Devices" or "Measure" section.
5. The app will search for the scale. When "Runstar-RX" (or similar) appears, tap to connect.
6. Once connected, a Bluetooth icon will appear on the scale's display.
7. For the first measurement, ensure the app is open and connected. Subsequent measurements can be taken offline and will sync automatically when the app is next opened.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement

1. Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface.
2. Step onto the scale with bare feet. Your feet should make contact with all four electrode pads for accurate body composition readings.
3. Stand still on the scale until your weight is displayed and the app (if open) shows the full analysis.

Understanding Display Readings

The Runstar Smart Scale's large LCD display shows 6 key measurements directly:

• Weight
• Body Fat Rate
• BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Muscle Mass

• Bone Mass

Using the Starfit App

The Starfit app provides a comprehensive overview of your health data:

• 13 Body Composition Metrics: View detailed data including Weight, BMI, Body Fat, Fat-free Body Weight, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Water, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Protein, BMR, and Body Age.
• Historical Tracking: Monitor your body data over time (weeks, months, years) through intuitive charts and graphs.
• Data Synchronization: The app easily syncs with Apple Health, Health Connect, and Fitbit for integrated health management.

Multiple User Profiles

The Starfit app supports up to 24 user profiles, making it ideal for families. The scale can intelligently recognize different users and automatically assign measurements to the correct profile.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the scale, wipe it with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.

Battery Replacement

The scale uses 3 AAA batteries. When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace all three batteries with new ones. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

• No Display: Check if the insulator strip has been removed from the battery compartment. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge.
• Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the scale is placed on a hard, flat surface. Avoid carpets. Make sure you are standing still and making full contact with the electrode pads with bare feet.
• "Lo" on Display: Indicates low battery. Replace batteries immediately.

App Connectivity Issues

• Scale not connecting to app:
  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  2. Make sure the Starfit app has Bluetooth permissions enabled in your phone's settings.
  3. Restart the Starfit app and try connecting again.
  4. Step on the scale to activate it before attempting to connect via the app.
• Data not syncing: Ensure the app is open and connected to the scale after taking offline measurements. Check your phone's internet connection for cloud synchronization.
