Setup

Unpacking:

  • Remove all packing materials from inside the oven cavity and from the oven door.
  • Check the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged.

Placement:

  • Place the microwave on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked in it.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation. Leave a minimum of 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the top, back, and sides for proper airflow.
  • Do not block air vents.
  • Keep the microwave away from heat sources and water.

Electrical Requirements:

  • The oven must be plugged into a 120V, 60Hz, AC only, 15 Amp or more electrical outlet.
  • Do not use an extension cord. If the power cord is too short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet near the appliance.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation:

  1. Setting the Clock: Press the 'Clock' button once. Use the number pads to enter the current time. Press 'Clock' again to confirm.
  2. Time Cook: Press 'Time Cook'. Enter the desired cooking time using the number pads. Press 'Power' to select a power level (1-10, 10 being full power). Press 'Start/+30sec.' to begin cooking.
  3. Express Cook: For quick cooking, simply press a number button (1-6) to cook for that many minutes at full power. For example, pressing '1' will cook for 1 minute.
  4. Adding Time: During cooking, press 'Start/+30sec.' to add 30 seconds to the cooking time.

Preprogrammed Settings:

The microwave includes 6 one-touch auto-cook settings:

  • Popcorn: Press 'Popcorn' button.
  • Dinner Plate: Press 'Dinner Plate' button.
  • Frozen Vegetable: Press 'Frozen Vegetable' button.
  • Baked Potato: Press 'Baked Potato' button.
  • Pizza: Press 'Pizza' button.
  • Beverage: Press 'Beverage' button.

For some settings, pressing the button multiple times may adjust the serving size or weight. Refer to the control panel for specific indicators.

Defrosting:

  • Weight Defrost: Press 'Weight Defrost'. Use the number pads to enter the weight of the food in pounds (e.g., 1.0 for 1 pound). Press 'Start/+30sec.'.
  • Time Defrost: Press 'Time Defrost'. Enter the desired defrosting time using the number pads. Press 'Start/+30sec.'.

Special Features:

  • Child Lock: To activate, press and hold the 'STOP/CANCEL' button for 3 seconds. The display will show 'LOCK'. To deactivate, press and hold 'STOP/CANCEL' again for 3 seconds.
  • Mute Function: To mute the beeping sounds, press and hold the '8' button for three seconds. The display will show 'OFF'. To reactivate sounds, repeat the process and 'ON' will display.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your microwave oven will help maintain its performance and extend its lifespan.

  • Interior Cleaning: Wipe the inside of the oven with a damp cloth after each use. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent or a microwave-safe cleaner. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
  • Door and Seal: Regularly clean the door, door seals, and adjacent parts with a damp cloth to remove any spills or splatters.
  • Glass Turntable: The glass turntable and turntable support can be removed for cleaning. Wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
