Setup and Connection
The 8Bitdo M30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad is designed for easy plug-and-play setup with compatible systems.
Connecting to Sega Genesis Mini / Mega Drive Mini:
- Ensure your Sega Genesis Mini or Mega Drive Mini console is powered off.
- Insert the 2.4G Wireless Receiver into an available USB port on your console.
- Power on your console.
- On the 8Bitdo M30 gamepad, press the Start button to power it on. The gamepad will automatically connect to the receiver. The LED indicator on the gamepad will become solid when connected.

Connecting to Nintendo Switch:
- Ensure your Nintendo Switch console is powered on and docked, or in handheld mode with a USB-C adapter.
- Insert the 2.4G Wireless Receiver into an available USB port on the Switch dock or a USB-C adapter for handheld mode.
- On the 8Bitdo M30 gamepad, press the Start button to power it on.
- The gamepad will automatically connect to the receiver. The LED indicator on the gamepad will become solid when connected.
- Note: Ensure your Switch firmware is version 1.0.0 or above for optimal compatibility.

Important Note: This 2.4G version of the M30 gamepad is not interchangeable with previous M30 2.4G Gamepads designed for original Sega Genesis consoles, nor with the M30 Bluetooth version. Bluetooth connection is not applicable to this model.

Operating Instructions
Basic Operation:
- Power On: Press the Start button.
- Power Off: Hold the Start button for 3 seconds.
- Automatic Sleep Mode: The gamepad will enter sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Turbo Function:
The M30 gamepad supports a Turbo function for rapid button presses. This feature is unavailable when connected to Nintendo Switch.
- Enable Turbo: Hold the button you wish to set to Turbo (e.g., A) and then press the Star button (located below the Select button). The LED will blink to confirm Turbo is active for that button.
- Disable Turbo: Hold the button with Turbo active and press the Star button again. The LED will stop blinking.
Charging the Gamepad
The 8Bitdo M30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad features a built-in rechargeable battery.
- Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the gamepad.
