2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and protective films from the appliance.

4.2 Initial Cleaning

- Wash the water tank, milk tank, portafilter, filter baskets, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

- Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX mark.
- Place the water tank back into the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.
4.4 Priming the Machine
Before making your first coffee, prime the machine to ensure proper water flow.
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a large cup or container under the coffee spout.
- Turn on the machine. It will heat up.
- Once heated, press the button for a single espresso without any coffee in the portafilter. Let water run through until the cup is full. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Preparing Espresso
- Ensure the machine is powered on and preheated.
- Insert the desired filter basket (single or double) into the portafilter.
- Fill the filter basket with finely ground espresso coffee. For a single shot, use approximately 7-8g; for a double shot, use 14-16g.
- Use the tamper (integrated with the measuring spoon) to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly.
- Wipe any excess coffee from the rim of the portafilter.
- Attach the portafilter to the brewing head by aligning it and twisting it firmly to the right until it locks.
- Place one or two pre-warmed cups under the portafilter spouts.
- Select 'SINGLE' or 'DOUBLE' on the control panel to start brewing. The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached.

5.2 Preparing Milk-Based Drinks (Cappuccino, Latte)
- Fill the milk tank with cold milk (dairy or plant-based) up to the MAX line.
- Attach the milk tank to the machine.
- Adjust the milk foam consistency knob on the milk tank to your preference (e.g., more foam for cappuccino, less for latte).
- Place your cup under the milk spout and coffee spout.
- Select 'CAPPUCCINO' or 'LATTE' on the control panel. The machine will first froth and dispense milk, then brew the espresso.
- After dispensing milk, the machine may prompt for a 'CLEAN' cycle for the milk system. Follow the on-screen instructions.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your machine.
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray daily. The red indicator will float up when it needs emptying.
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under running water.
- Milk Tank: After preparing milk-based drinks, perform the 'CLEAN' cycle for the milk system. Remove the milk tank, empty any remaining milk, and wash it thoroughly with warm soapy water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.2 Descaling
The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and usage. The machine may indicate when descaling is needed. Refer to the full manual for detailed descaling instructions, typically involving a descaling solution and running it through the machine's water system.
