1. Important Safety Instructions
Read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this generator. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or death. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in partially enclosed spaces.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and properly insulated. Use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) when operating in damp locations.
- Fire Hazard: Diesel fuel is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator or fuel. Store fuel in approved containers.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact with hot surfaces to prevent burns.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts to prevent injury.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator, especially during operation.

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking and Assembly
- Carefully remove the generator from its packaging.
- Attach the auxiliary handle and wheels using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
4.2 Adding Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the correct type and amount of oil before first use.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Unscrew and remove the engine oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Pour the recommended diesel engine oil (e.g., SAE 10W-30) into the oil fill opening until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick and tighten it.
4.3 Fueling the Generator
Use only clean, fresh diesel fuel. Do not use gasoline or any other fuel type.
- Ensure the generator engine is off and cool.
- Open the fuel cap.
- Carefully pour diesel fuel into the tank, avoiding spills. Do not fill above the fuel filter screen.
- Securely close the fuel cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
4.4 Grounding the Generator
For safety, always ground the generator before operation. Connect a heavy-gauge wire from the generator's ground terminal to a suitable earth ground rod.
5. Operation
5.1 Starting the Generator
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface and all electrical loads are disconnected from the outlets.
- Check engine oil and fuel levels.
- Move the STOP/RUN lever to the RUN position.
- Turn the Starter Switch to the ON position.
- Turn the Starter Switch to the START position and hold until the engine starts. Release the switch once the engine is running. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds at a time. If the engine does not start, wait 10 seconds before trying again.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes to warm up before connecting any loads.
5.2 Connecting Electrical Loads
Once the generator is running stably, you can connect your electrical devices.
- Plug your appliances into the AC 230V outlets.
- Do not overload the generator. The total wattage of all connected devices must not exceed the generator's rated power (4.5 kW).
- If the AC breaker trips, reduce the load, then reset the breaker.
5.3 Stopping the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Turn the Starter Switch to the OFF position.
- Move the STOP/RUN lever to the STOP position.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your generator. Always perform maintenance with the engine off and cool, and disconnect the battery if performing electrical work.
