7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Clock does not display or power on. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity. Replace with new AA batteries. |
| Atomic time signal not received or time is incorrect. | Poor signal reception; incorrect time zone; interference. | Place the clock near a window. Ensure correct time zone is selected. Avoid placing near other electronics. Signal reception is typically best at night. |
| Display flickering. | Auto Light feature operating in marginal light conditions. | This is normal behavior for the Auto Light. If bothersome, turn the Auto Light switch to "OFF". |
| Alarm is too soft or not waking me up. | Alarm volume is fixed and designed to be gradually ascending. | Ensure the clock is placed close to you. Consider using a secondary alarm if you are a heavy sleeper. |
| Temperature gauge is inaccurate or not working. | Environmental factors; sensor malfunction. | Ensure the clock is not in direct sunlight or near heat/cold sources. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Buttons are unresponsive during atomic signal search. | Temporary button lock during signal reception. | This is normal. Buttons will become responsive once the signal reception process (1-2 minutes) is complete. |
