4.1 Attaching the Propane Cylinder

  1. Ensure the lantern's control knob is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Place the lantern on a stable, level surface.
  3. Thread a 16.4 oz. propane cylinder (sold separately) clockwise into the base of the lantern until hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
  4. Perform a leak check as described in the Safety Information section.

4.2 Installing/Replacing Mantles

The lantern uses Insta-Clip #95 mantles. If your mantle is damaged or needs replacement, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the lantern is cool and disconnected from the propane cylinder.
  2. Remove the top ventilator and glass globe by lifting the wire bail and unhooking the clips.
  3. If replacing, carefully remove the old mantle.
  4. Hold a new Insta-Clip #95 mantle (see image below) and clip it onto the burner assembly.

  1. Once clipped, gently remove the green plastic clips (see image below).

  1. Replace the glass globe and top ventilator.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Lighting the Lantern

  1. Ensure the propane cylinder is securely attached and the mantle is properly installed.
  2. Slowly turn the control knob counter-clockwise to the "LIGHT" position (see image below). You should hear the gas flowing.
  3. Immediately press the red Instastart push-button igniter repeatedly until the mantle lights.
  4. If the mantle does not light after several attempts, turn the control knob to "OFF", wait 5 minutes, and repeat the process. If manual lighting is required, use a long-stem lighter or match through the designated port.

5.2 Adjusting Brightness

Once lit, rotate the control knob clockwise to increase brightness or counter-clockwise to decrease brightness. The lantern offers up to 1500 lumens on high and 300 lumens on low.

5.3 Turning Off the Lantern

To turn off the lantern, rotate the control knob clockwise until it clicks into the "OFF" position. The flame will extinguish.
