Operating Instructions
Control Switch and Indicators

The shredder features a 4-mode control switch and LED status indicators:
- FWD/AUTO/OFF/REV Switch:
- AUTO (Auto/On): The shredder automatically starts when paper is inserted and stops when shredding is complete.
- OFF: The shredder is powered off.
- REV (Reverse): Clears paper jams by reversing the shredding mechanism.
- FWD (Forward): Manually activates the shredder in forward motion.
- LED Indicators:
- Power On (Green): Indicates the shredder is powered on and ready for operation.
- Overheat (Red): Illuminates when the shredder has exceeded its maximum run time and needs to cool down.

Shredding Documents
- Ensure the shredder is plugged in and the control switch is set to AUTO.
- Insert up to 12 sheets of 20-pound bond paper into the paper entry slot. The shredder will automatically start.
- For credit cards, insert one card at a time into the dedicated credit card slot.
- The shredder can also shred staples and small paper clips.
- Do not exceed the maximum sheet capacity to prevent jams and overheating.

Run Time and Cool Down
The shredder has a 9-minute continuous run time. After this period, it will automatically shut off to prevent overheating. Allow a 30-minute cool-down period before resuming operation.
Maintenance
Emptying the Waste Bin
The shredder features a 5-gallon waste bin. Monitor the fill level through the clear window on the bin. Empty the bin regularly to prevent paper jams and ensure optimal performance.
- Switch the shredder to OFF and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Carefully lift the shredder head off the waste bin.
- Dispose of the shredded material.
- Place the shredder head back onto the waste bin, ensuring it is securely seated.
- Plug the shredder back in.
Cleaning
