Operating Instructions
Your shredder features a versatile control switch and LED indicators for easy operation.
Control Switch Modes:
- FWD (Forward): Forces the shredder to run continuously. Use this for immediate shredding or to clear minor jams.
- AUTO (Automatic): The recommended setting for most shredding tasks. The shredder will automatically start when paper is inserted and stop when shredding is complete.
- OFF: Turns the shredder off. Always set to OFF when not in use or when emptying the bin.
- REV (Reverse): Reverses the shredding mechanism. Use this to clear paper jams by backing out the paper.
LED Status Indicators:
- POWER (Green): Indicates the shredder is powered on and ready for operation.
- OVERHEAT (Red): Illuminates when the shredder has exceeded its maximum continuous runtime (3 minutes). Allow the shredder to cool down for 30 minutes before resuming operation.
- OVERLOAD (Red): Illuminates when too much paper has been inserted, causing an overload. Use the REV setting to clear the paper.

Shredding Process:
- Ensure the shredder is plugged in and the control switch is set to AUTO. The green POWER LED should be on.
- Insert paper (up to 8 sheets) or a credit card into the designated entry slot. The shredder will automatically begin shredding.
- For credit cards, insert one at a time into the smaller slot.
- Do not force paper into the shredder. If the motor strains or slows down, reduce the number of sheets.
- After 3 minutes of continuous use, the shredder will automatically shut off to prevent overheating. The OVERHEAT LED will turn red. Allow it to cool down for 30 minutes before reuse.
