ANDELI MCT-416 LED 5-in-1 Multi-Function Welder Instruction Manual

Model: MCT-416 LED

1. Introduction

The ANDELI MCT-416 LED is a versatile 5-in-1 multi-function welding machine designed for various welding tasks. It supports 100V and 200V power inputs, offering flexibility for both household and professional use. This manual provides essential information for safe and effective operation, setup, and maintenance of your welding machine.

Key functions include CUT, MIG (CO2 / MIX / FLUX), Lift TIG, PULSE, and Arc welding. Its synergic function automatically sets optimal welding parameters based on wire diameter and plate thickness, making it user-friendly even for beginners. The low-frequency inverter technology ensures stable performance across different materials like iron, stainless steel, and low carbon steel.

2. Safety Instructions

Always prioritize safety when operating welding equipment. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in serious injury or death.

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including a welding helmet with proper shade, flame-resistant clothing, welding gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation to avoid inhaling hazardous fumes.
  • Keep a fire extinguisher nearby and know how to use it.
  • Do not operate the machine in wet conditions or near flammable materials.
  • Ensure proper grounding of the welding machine and workpiece.
  • Disconnect power before performing any maintenance or changing accessories.
  • The VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) should be ON in high-temperature environments for safety.

5.1 General Operation and Mode Selection

Use the mode selection button to choose between CUT, MIG (CO2 / MIX / FLUX), Lift TIG, PULSE, and Arc welding. The synergic function automatically sets optimal welding parameters, but you can fine-tune them using the dials.

Video: This video demonstrates the adjustment of welding parameters and usage methods for the ANDELI MCT-416P, covering various modes like MIG, Plasma Cutting, and TIG welding. It shows how to select modes, adjust settings like inductance, pre-flow, arc start timing, burn-back, and after-flow, and select wire size and shield gas. It also illustrates 2T, 4T, and Spot welding modes.

5.2 MIG Welding Mode (CO2 / MIX / FLUX)

For MIG welding, select the appropriate wire type (CO2, MIX, or FLUX) and wire diameter. The synergic function will suggest initial parameters, which can be further adjusted. Perform a test weld and fine-tune current and voltage for optimal results.

Video: This video demonstrates the usage of the MIG mode on a 4-in-1 semi-automatic welding machine. It shows how to select the wire type (Flux-cored wire), choose the appropriate wire size, perform test welds, and adjust welding current and voltage to achieve a good weld bead.

5.3 Lift TIG Welding Mode

For Lift TIG welding, ensure the TIG torch is connected correctly. Select Lift TIG mode and adjust the current. Touch the tungsten electrode to the workpiece and lift it slightly to initiate the arc. Maintain a consistent travel speed for a smooth weld bead.

Video: This video demonstrates the usage of the Lift TIG mode on a 4-in-1 semi-automatic welding machine. It shows how to select the TIG mode, adjust parameters, perform test welds, and execute continuous welding by smoothly moving the torch.

5.4 CUT (Plasma Cutting) Mode

For plasma cutting, connect the plasma torch and earth clamp. Set the current to the maximum for effective cutting. Press the torch switch and slowly move the torch along the material to cut. The cut surface should be clean with no slag.

5.5 Arc Welding Mode

For Arc welding, connect the electrode holder and earth clamp. Select Arc welding mode and adjust the current. Perform a test weld and adjust the current for a stable arc and good penetration. Remove slag after welding.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your welding machine.

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the machine's exterior and ventilation openings to prevent dust and debris buildup. Use compressed air to clear internal components if necessary, ensuring the machine is unplugged.
  • Torch and Clamps: Inspect torches, cables, and clamps for wear, damage, or loose connections before each use. Replace worn-out contact tips, nozzles, and electrodes as needed.
  • Wire Feeder: Keep the wire feeder mechanism clean and free of debris. Ensure the drive rollers are correctly sized for your wire and have adequate tension.
  • Storage: Store the welding machine in a dry, clean environment away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
