1. Important Safety Instructions

  • This appliance is for indoor use only.
  • Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the rating label.
  • Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
  • Keep the unit at least 50 cm away from walls and other objects to ensure proper airflow.
  • Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the air inlet or outlet.

  • Do not use chemical solvents (e.g., benzene, alcohol, gasoline) to clean the unit.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the unit from its packaging.
  2. Check for any damage during transit. If damaged, contact your retailer immediately.
  3. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

3.2 Placement

Place the unit on a firm, level surface in a location that allows for proper air circulation and exhaust hose installation.

  • Ensure there is at least 50 cm of space around the unit for optimal performance.
  • Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
  • The unit should be placed near a window or opening for the exhaust hose.

3.3 Exhaust Hose Installation

The exhaust hose expels hot air outside, which is essential for the unit's cooling efficiency.

  1. Attach the exhaust hose connector to the exhaust air outlet on the rear of the unit.
  2. Extend the exhaust hose and attach the window kit adapter to the other end.
  3. Install the window kit in a suitable window opening, ensuring a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.
  4. Keep the exhaust hose as short and straight as possible to maximize efficiency. Avoid kinks or sharp bends.

3.4 Drainage Setup

During cooling and dehumidifying modes, water will accumulate inside the unit. This water needs to be drained.

  • Intermittent Drainage: The unit will stop operating when the internal water tank is full. Drain the water manually from the drainage port at the rear of the unit into a suitable container.
  • Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation, especially in high humidity or dehumidifier mode, attach a drainage hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port and direct it to a floor drain or a larger container. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards for gravity drainage.

4. Operating Instructions

The unit can be operated via the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

4.1 Control Panel

The control panel on the top of the unit allows you to power on/off, select modes, adjust temperature, and set fan speed.

4.2 Remote Control

The remote control provides convenient access to all functions from a distance.

4.3 Operating Modes

  • Cooling Mode: Select the snowflake icon. Adjust the desired temperature using the up/down arrows.
  • Heating Mode: Select the sun icon. Adjust the desired temperature.
  • Fan Mode: Select the fan icon. The unit will circulate air without cooling or heating. Adjust fan speed.
  • Dehumidifier Mode: Select the water drop icon. The unit will remove moisture from the air.

4.4 Temperature and Fan Speed Adjustment

  • Use the Up (^) and Down (v) arrows on the control panel or remote to set the desired temperature.
  • Press the Fan Speed button to cycle through Low, Medium, and High fan speeds.

4.5 Timer Function

The 24-hour timer allows you to set the unit to turn on or off automatically after a specified period.

  • Press the Timer button.
  • Use the up/down arrows to set the desired delay in hours.
  • The timer will activate after a few seconds.

4.6 Sleep Mode

Sleep mode adjusts the temperature and fan speed for comfortable sleeping conditions and reduced energy consumption.

  • Activate Sleep mode by pressing the dedicated button on the remote control (if available) or through the control panel.

4.7 Wi-Fi Connectivity

The Daitsu Alisios Premium APD12FCX features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing control via the Smart Life application on your smartphone.

  1. Download the Smart Life app from your device's app store (available on App Store and Google Play).
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and add your Daitsu APD12FCX unit.
  3. Ensure your unit is powered on and your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.
  4. Once connected, you can control the unit's modes, temperature, fan speed, and timer remotely.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter on the rear panel (refer to Figure 2.2).
  3. Gently pull out the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

5.2 Cleaning the Unit Surface

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth.
  3. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the unit's finish.

5.3 Draining Accumulated Water

If the unit stops operating and displays a 'Full Water' indicator, you need to drain the internal water tank.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or container under the drainage port at the rear of the unit.
  3. Remove the rubber stopper from the drainage port.
  4. Allow all water to drain out.
  5. Replace the rubber stopper firmly.

5.4 Storage

When storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Drain all accumulated water from the unit.
  2. Clean the air filter and the unit's surface.
  3. Run the unit in fan-only mode for a few hours to dry the internal components.
  4. Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
  5. Store the unit in a dry, cool place, preferably in its original packaging.
