Follow these steps to set up your portable air conditioner:

5.1 Positioning the Unit

Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper airflow.

5.2 Exhaust Hose Installation

  1. Attach the exhaust hose connector to the exhaust outlet on the back of the unit.
  2. Extend the exhaust hose and attach the window kit adapter to the other end.
  3. Install the window sealing kit in a suitable window opening.
  4. Insert the window kit adapter into the opening of the window sealing kit, ensuring a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Daitsu Alisios Premium APD12FX can be operated via the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

6.1 Remote Control Functions

6.2 Basic Operation

  1. Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
  3. Press the Mode button to select your desired operating mode (Cool, Dehumidify, or Fan).
  4. In Cooling mode, use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set the desired room temperature.
  5. Adjust the fan speed as needed using the Fan Speed button.

7. Wi-Fi and App Control

The Daitsu Alisios Premium APD12FX features integrated Wi-Fi, allowing you to control it conveniently from your smartphone or tablet using the Smart Life application.

7.1 Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Download the "Smart Life" app from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android).
  2. Register or log in to your Smart Life account.
  3. Ensure your portable air conditioner is powered on and in pairing mode (refer to the app's instructions or the unit's display for pairing indications).
  4. In the Smart Life app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your APD12FX unit to your home Wi-Fi network.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

8.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage. A dirty filter can reduce efficiency and airflow.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit (refer to the diagram in your full manual).
  3. Wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

8.2 Draining Water

During dehumidification or cooling, water will accumulate inside the unit. The unit has an internal water tank that may need to be drained periodically.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or container under the drain port (usually located at the bottom rear of the unit).
  3. Remove the drain plug/cap.
  4. Allow all water to drain out.
  5. Replace the drain plug/cap securely.
