- Do not block air inlets or outlets. Maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm from walls or other objects.
- Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the unit's rating label.
- Do not use the unit in wet environments or near water.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your portable air conditioner:
5.1 Positioning the Unit
Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper airflow.

5.2 Exhaust Hose Installation
- Attach the exhaust hose connector to the exhaust outlet on the back of the unit.
- Extend the exhaust hose and attach the window kit adapter to the other end.
- Install the window sealing kit in a suitable window opening.
- Insert the window kit adapter into the opening of the window sealing kit, ensuring a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

6. Operating Instructions
Your Daitsu Alisios Premium APD12FX can be operated via the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
6.1 Remote Control Functions

- Power Button (①): Turns the unit ON or OFF.
- Mode Button: Cycles through Cooling, Dehumidification, and Fan modes.
- Temperature Up (⌃) / Down (⌄) Buttons: Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
- Fan Speed Button: Selects fan speed (Low, Medium, High).
- Timer Button (⏰): Sets the 24-hour timer for automatic operation.
- °C/°F Button: Switches temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
6.2 Basic Operation
- Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the Power button to turn on the unit.

8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.
8.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage. A dirty filter can reduce efficiency and airflow.
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit (refer to the diagram in your full manual).
- Wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
8.2 Draining Water
During dehumidification or cooling, water will accumulate inside the unit. The unit has an internal water tank that may need to be drained periodically.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or container under the drain port (usually located at the bottom rear of the unit).
- Remove the drain plug/cap.
- Allow all water to drain out.
- Replace the drain plug/cap securely.
8.3 Storage
If the unit will not be used for an extended period:
- Drain all accumulated water.
- Clean the air filter.
- Run the unit in fan-only mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
- Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
