6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Septree Food Dehydrator, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Dehydrator does not turn on.Not plugged in; power outlet issue; unit malfunction.Ensure the unit is securely plugged into a working 120V outlet. Check the circuit breaker.
Food not drying evenly.Food pieces too thick or unevenly cut; trays overloaded.Ensure food is sliced uniformly. Do not overcrowd trays; allow space for air circulation. The horizontal airflow system is designed for even drying, but proper loading is still important.
Unit overheats and shuts off.Overheat protection activated.Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes. Check for blocked vents. Plug back in and restart.
Unusual noise during operation.Internal component issue; unit not on a level surface.Ensure the unit is on a stable, level surface. While the unit is designed for quiet operation (45-50dB), persistent loud or unusual noises may indicate a need for service.
Door not closing properly.Obstruction; magnetic seal issue.Check for any food debris or objects obstructing the door. Ensure trays are fully inserted. The magnetic seal should hold the door firmly.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Septree customer service for assistance.
