  2. Insert Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the designated slot for local video storage. Ensure the card is inserted correctly.
  3. Power On: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates, indicating the camera is powered on.
  4. Download Mobile App: Search for the recommended mobile application (refer to the included quick start guide or packaging for the app name) on your smartphone's app store (Android/iOS) and install it.
  5. Connect to WiFi:
    • Open the mobile application and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
    • The camera will typically broadcast its own WiFi hotspot. Connect your phone to this hotspot first.
    • Within the app, select your home or office 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password. The camera will then connect to your network.
  6. Placement: Use the magnetic back cover or magnetic stand to position the camera in your desired location.

Operating Instructions

Video Recording

Once connected to the mobile application, you can initiate video recording directly from your smartphone. The app typically offers options for continuous recording, motion-activated recording, and scheduled recording.

Motion Detection

The camera supports motion detection. When enabled through the mobile app, the camera will automatically start recording and send alerts to your smartphone upon detecting movement. Adjust sensitivity settings within the app as needed.

Live View

Access the live video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere, through the mobile application, provided the camera is connected to a stable WiFi network.

Night Vision

The camera is equipped with infrared (IR) LEDs for night vision, allowing it to capture clear video in low-light or no-light conditions. This feature usually activates automatically.

Charging the Camera

Connect the provided USB charging cable to the camera's Micro USB port and the other end to a 5V/1A USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port). The indicator light will show charging status and change when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 30 minutes.

Magnetic Mounting

The Estink A9 Mini Camera features a built-in magnet in its back cover, allowing it to be easily attached to any ferrous (magnetic) metal surface. For non-magnetic surfaces, use the included magnetic stand to position the camera securely.

Troubleshooting

Camera not powering on:
Ensure the camera is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and wait for the charging indicator light to appear. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for several seconds.
Unable to connect to WiFi:
  • Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. This camera does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Verify the WiFi password entered in the app is correct.
  • Place the camera closer to your WiFi router during the initial setup process.
  • Restart your router and the camera, then attempt the connection process again.
  • Ensure the mobile app has necessary permissions (e.g., location, local network access) on your smartphone.
Poor video quality:
  • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from dust or smudges.
  • Check your internet connection speed. A slow connection can affect live stream quality.
  • Ensure adequate lighting in the camera's environment, especially if night vision is not active.
Micro SD card not recording:
  • Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted correctly.
  • Format the Micro SD card through the camera's mobile application settings.
  • Check if the Micro SD card is full. Replace it or delete old recordings.
  • Verify the Micro SD card is genuine and not a counterfeit with reduced capacity.
  • Ensure recording settings (e.g., continuous, motion detection) are properly configured in the app.
