Maintenance

Cleaning the Camera

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body and screen. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the camera's surfaces.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. If the camera will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery.

SD Card Management

It is recommended to format the SD card periodically to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. To format the SD card, navigate to the Menu settings on your camera, select 'Format', and confirm the action. This will erase all data on the card, so ensure you have backed up any important files.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Try charging the battery for at least 30 minutes.
  • Images are blurry: Check that the lens is clean. Ensure the camera is set to the correct focus mode (Auto Focus is recommended for general use). Ensure sufficient lighting.
  • SD card error: Reinsert the SD card. If the issue persists, try formatting the card (note: this will erase all data). If still problematic, try a different compatible SD card.
  • WiFi connection issues: Ensure the 'IDC CAM' app is installed on your smartphone. Verify that the camera's WiFi is enabled and your phone is connected to the correct network. Restart both devices if necessary.
  • Flash not working: Ensure the flash unit is popped up. Check the camera's shooting mode; some modes may disable the flash.
