Important Note: This device is intended for OTC (over-the-counter) Use and is not a substitute for a hospital diagnostic ECG device. Individuals with implanted pacemakers are not recommended to use this device.

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
The EMAY Portable ECG Monitor is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the monitor and a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging indicator on the device will show its status.
3.2 Software and App Installation

- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Turn on the EMAY monitor.
- Open the EMAY app and navigate to the 'Connect' or 'Device' section.
- Select your EMAY monitor from the list of available devices to pair.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Taking a Measurement
The EMAY monitor offers multiple ways to record a single-lead ECG for optimal accuracy. Ensure good skin contact with the metal electrodes on the device for accurate readings.
- Hand-to-Hand: Hold the device with both hands, placing a thumb on each electrode.
- Hand-to-Chest: Place one electrode on your chest (e.g., below the left collarbone) and hold the other electrode with your hand.
- Hand-to-Wrist: Place one electrode on your wrist and hold the other electrode with your opposite hand.
- Hand-to-Leg: Place one electrode on your leg (e.g., inner thigh) and hold the other electrode with your hand.
Once positioned, press the measurement button. The device will typically record for 30 seconds, displaying the ECG waveform and heart rate in real-time.

4.2 Viewing Results on Device
After a measurement, the device screen will display your heart rate and a summary of the ECG. The monitor can store multiple readings directly on the device.
4.3 Syncing and Sharing Data
To review detailed ECG reports and share them, sync the data to your smartphone or PC using the EMAY app/software. The software allows for case review, measurement analysis, and generating reports that can be printed or emailed to your healthcare provider.
