4. Setup

4.1 Physical Installation

The camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Choose a location that provides optimal coverage and has access to a power source.

  1. Select Location: Identify a suitable mounting spot, ensuring a clear line of sight and strong Wi-Fi or 4G signal.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the screw holes on the wall or ceiling.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions. Insert wall anchors if mounting on masonry.
  4. Secure Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
  5. Attach Camera: Securely attach the camera to the mounting bracket. Adjust the angle as needed.

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the camera's power input port and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the connection is secure and protected from moisture using the waterproof cap if necessary.

4.3 Network Connection (Wi-Fi or 4G)

The camera supports both Wi-Fi and 4G cellular connectivity.

  • For Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera will connect to your Wi-Fi network during the app setup process.
  • For 4G: Insert a compatible 4G LTE SIM card into the designated slot on the camera. Ensure the SIM card is activated and has data.

4.4 App Download and Initial Setup

Download the CamHipro app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android). Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or manually entering its ID, and then configuring network settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and PTZ Control

Once connected, open the CamHipro app to access the live view. Use the on-screen controls to pan (355° horizontally) and tilt (90° vertically) the camera to adjust its viewing angle. You can also set cruising points for automated tours.

5.2 Zoom Functionality

The camera features an 8X hybrid zoom using its dual lenses. The 2.8mm lens provides a wide field of view, while the 8mm telephoto lens allows for closer, more detailed observation. Pinch-to-zoom gestures in the app typically control this function.

5.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers two night vision modes:

  • Color Night Vision: When motion is detected at night, the built-in white spotlights activate automatically, providing full-color video up to 15 meters.
  • Infrared Night Vision: You can switch to infrared (black & white) night vision via the CamHipro app, which uses the IR LEDs for discreet monitoring.

5.4 Human Detection & Auto Tracking

The camera can intelligently detect human shapes and automatically track their movement across the monitored area. When a human is detected, you will receive instant alerts on your CamHipro app.

5.5 Two-Way Audio & Siren Alarm

Use the two-way audio feature in the app to speak with visitors or deter unwanted individuals. You can also manually activate the flashing lights and siren alarm through the app to scare away intruders.

5.6 Recording and Playback

The camera supports 24/7 continuous recording to a MicroSD card (not included) or cloud storage (subscription may be required). Access recorded footage through the CamHipro app for playback and download.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Weather Protection: Although IP66 weatherproof, ensure all cable connections are properly sealed with the waterproof cap to prevent water ingress.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the CamHipro app periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Power Supply: Ensure the power adapter and cable are not damaged and are securely connected.

7. Troubleshooting
