1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Seeutek Rolling Lawn Aerator. For a visual guide, please refer to the official product assembly video below.

1. Install Sand Hole Screw: Locate the small hole on the side of the aerator roller. Insert the screw into this hole. This screw is used to seal the hole if you choose to fill the roller with sand or water for added weight (refer to video 0:26).
2. Attach Handle Frame to Roller: Place the long spacer/bushing on the side of the roller with the sand hole. Align the U-shaped handle frame with the roller's axle on both sides. Snap the handle frame onto the roller's axle (refer to video 0:31). Secure it with the provided nuts and tighten using the wrench (refer to video 0:48).
3. Assemble Handle Pole: The handle consists of a connecting rod and an extension pole. The connecting rod has two holes at one end, which should face downwards when inserted into the handle frame's vertical receiver (refer to video 0:53). Insert the connecting rod into the handle frame.
4. Connect Handle Sections: Slide the extension pole into the top of the connecting rod. Align the holes for your desired height.
5. Secure Handle Sections: Insert the bolts through the aligned holes and secure them with nuts. Ensure all connections are tight for stability.
6. Attach T-Handle Grip: Slide the T-handle grip onto the top of the extension pole and secure it with the remaining bolts and nuts.

Adjustable Handle Height

The aerator features two adjustable handle heights for user comfort and reduced back strain. You can set the handle length to either 48.4 inches or 52.6 inches by selecting the appropriate bolt holes during assembly of the handle pole sections.

5. Operating Instructions

Proper aeration is crucial for a healthy lawn. Follow these guidelines for effective use of your Seeutek Rolling Lawn Aerator.

Preparing Your Lawn

• For best results, aerate your lawn when the soil is moist but not waterlogged. This allows the spikes to penetrate deeper into the soil. Avoid aerating extremely dry or hard ground.
• Mow your lawn to its regular height before aerating.
• Clear the area of any large debris, rocks, or obstacles that could impede the aerator or cause damage.

Adding Weight (Optional)

The aerator can be filled with sand or water to increase its weight, allowing the spikes to penetrate deeper into compacted soil. The aerator weighs approximately 20 lbs without additional weight and can reach up to 28 lbs when filled.

• To add weight, remove the screw from the sand hole on the side of the roller.
• Carefully fill the roller with sand or water.
• Once filled, replace and securely tighten the screw to prevent leakage.

Aerating Your Lawn

• Push the aerator across your lawn in a consistent pattern, similar to mowing. Overlap each pass slightly to ensure even coverage.
• Apply steady, downward pressure on the handle to help the spikes penetrate the soil.
• For heavily compacted areas, multiple passes may be necessary.
• The aerator is designed for various soil types, including clay, sand, and dirt, effectively loosening them to improve nutrient absorption.
