2. Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before using this fan.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect the fan, turn controls to the OFF position, then remove the plug from the outlet.
  • Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into any opening.
  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • This fan is UL Safety Listed and meets OSHA and UL507 standards.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and in good condition:

  • Fan Head Assembly (motor, blades, grille)
  • Pedestal Pole (adjustable height)
  • Round Base
  • Mounting Hardware (screws, washers, hand screw knob)
  • Power Cord (6.6 ft)

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the Tornado pedestal fan is straightforward. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Attach the Pedestal Pole to the Base: Securely fasten the pedestal pole to the round base using the provided hardware. Ensure it is stable and upright.
  2. Mount the Fan Head Assembly: Attach the fan head assembly to the top of the pedestal pole. Use the hand screw knob to tighten and secure the fan head at the desired height. Ensure the fan blades are installed correctly, facing the direction of airflow. Incorrect blade installation can lead to poor airflow and increased noise.
  3. Adjust Height: Loosen the hand screw knob on the pedestal pole to adjust the fan's height between 54.53 inches and 73.03 inches. Tighten the knob firmly once the desired height is reached.
  4. Position the Fan: Place the fan on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the fan for optimal air circulation and oscillation.
