Operating Instructions
Your GLOBE Electric Motion Sensor Wall Sconce is designed for automatic operation based on motion detection and ambient light levels.
Motion Sensor Functionality:
- The integrated motion sensor detects movement within a 150-degree field and up to 30 feet away.
- When motion is detected, the light will illuminate at full brightness.
- The light will remain on as long as motion is detected within its range. After motion ceases, the light will turn off after a preset delay (typically a few minutes, consult specific product settings if adjustable).

Low-Level Light Brightness Adjustment:
This fixture allows you to adjust the low-level illumination when no motion is detected. This setting is typically controlled via a switch or dial on the fixture itself, or potentially through a compatible smart bulb if installed (sold separately).
- Off: The light remains off when no motion is detected.
- 30%: The light stays on at 30% brightness when no motion is detected.
- 50%: The light stays on at 50% brightness when no motion is detected.
- 70%: The light stays on at 70% brightness when no motion is detected.
Refer to the physical fixture for the exact location of the brightness adjustment control.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your wall sconce.
Cleaning:
- Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before cleaning.
- Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or glass.
- Clean the motion sensor lens periodically to ensure proper detection.
Bulb Replacement:
- Ensure power is off at the circuit breaker.
- Allow the bulb to cool completely before touching.
- Carefully remove the glass shade to access the bulb.
- Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new E26/Medium Base bulb, not exceeding 60W.
- Reattach the glass shade securely.
- Restore power.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your wall sconce, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power; loose wiring; faulty bulb; sensor obstructed. | Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections. Replace bulb. Clear sensor lens. |
| Motion sensor not detecting. | Sensor obstructed; incorrect sensitivity setting; ambient light too high. | Clean sensor lens. Adjust sensitivity setting. Ensure sensor is not in direct sunlight or near other light sources. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Continuous motion detected; sensor malfunction; setting error. | Ensure no constant motion in detection zone. Check sensor for damage. Verify brightness adjustment setting. |
| Light flickers. | Loose bulb; incompatible bulb; wiring issue. | Tighten bulb. Ensure bulb is compatible (LED/Incandescent). Check wiring connections. |
