Important Safety Information

Failure to heed these warnings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.

  • Read All Instructions: Before using this jack, read and understand all instructions and warnings in this manual.
  • Rated Capacity: Do not exceed the rated capacity of 6000 lbs (3 tons).
  • Use on Hard, Level Surface: Always use the jack on a hard, level surface. Avoid uneven ground or soft surfaces.
  • Use Jack Stands: After lifting the vehicle, always support the load with appropriate jack stands before working underneath. Never rely solely on the jack to support the vehicle.
  • Center Load: Lift only on areas of the vehicle specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Center the load on the jack saddle.
  • No Modifications: Do not modify the jack.
  • Keep Clear: Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts and pinch points.
  • Lower Slowly: Lower the load slowly and carefully.
  • Maintenance: Inspect the jack before each use. Do not use if damaged or leaking hydraulic fluid.
  • Proper Storage: Store the jack in a clean, dry place.

Setup and Initial Preparation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the jack from its packaging. Inspect for any damage that may have occurred during shipping.
  2. Handle Assembly: Insert the handle into the handle socket at the rear of the jack. Secure it according to the design (e.g., tighten a set screw or align pins).
  3. Bleeding the Hydraulic System: Air can become trapped in the hydraulic system during shipping or storage, affecting performance.
    • Turn the release valve counter-clockwise one full turn to open it.
    • Pump the handle 10-15 full strokes without a load.
    • Turn the release valve clockwise to close it.
    • The jack should now operate correctly. If not, repeat the bleeding process.

Operating Instructions

Lifting a Vehicle

  1. Prepare Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and block the wheels that will remain on the ground.
  2. Position Jack: Locate the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points. Position the jack saddle directly under the lifting point.
  3. Raise Jack: Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise until it is firm. Pump the handle to raise the jack saddle until it makes contact with the vehicle's lifting point.
  4. Lift Vehicle: Continue pumping the handle to lift the vehicle to the desired height.
  5. Secure with Jack Stands: Immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's frame or designated support points. Ensure the vehicle is securely resting on the jack stands before performing any work.

Lowering a Vehicle

  1. Clear Area: Ensure all tools and personnel are clear from under and around the vehicle.
  2. Slightly Raise Vehicle: If jack stands are in use, pump the jack handle a few times to slightly raise the vehicle off the jack stands.
  3. Remove Jack Stands: Carefully remove the jack stands.
  4. Lower Vehicle: Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle. Do not open the valve too quickly, as this can cause the vehicle to drop rapidly.
  5. Remove Jack: Once the vehicle is fully lowered, remove the jack from underneath.

Maintenance

  • Lubrication: Periodically lubricate pivot points, axles, and lifting arm components with light grease or oil.
  • Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level every three months. To check, lower the jack completely, remove the oil filler plug, and ensure the fluid is level with the bottom of the filler hole. Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
  • Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and corrosive materials.
  • Storage: Store the jack in a fully lowered position in a clean, dry area.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, leaks, or loose parts. Do not use a damaged jack.
