Model: Razor AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight - 1 MOA Sight V-AMG-HS02

Brand: Vortex

Introduction

The Vortex Optics AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight is designed for rapid target acquisition and enhanced situational awareness. This advanced holographic display offers four night vision compatible settings and a dedicated night vision button for versatile use in various lighting conditions. Its robust construction ensures durability and reliable performance in the field.

Key features include an enlarged viewing window for an improved sight picture, a toolless battery cover for easy battery changes, and a lighter load at just 11 ounces. The lightning-quick EBR-CQB reticle with 15 illumination settings and our FHQ technology virtually eliminates stray light emissions for zero forward signature. An integrated, quick-release mount makes the sight easy to install and puts the optic at lower 1/3 cowitness height on either Weaver or Picatinny rails. Rugged construction creates a shockproof sight. Ultra-hard, scratch-resistant ArmorTek coating protects exterior lenses from scratches, oil and dirt. O-ring seals help to provide waterproof and fogproof performance in the field.

Maintenance

Lens Care

The exterior lenses are protected by an ArmorTek coating, making them scratch-resistant. To maintain optical clarity:

  • Gently brush away any loose dirt or dust from the lenses using a soft brush or compressed air.
  • Use the provided lens cloth or a clean, soft microfiber cloth to wipe the lenses.
  • For stubborn smudges or fingerprints, apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution to the cloth, not directly to the lens, and gently wipe.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths, or excessive force, as this can damage the lens coatings.

Battery Replacement

Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup for detailed instructions on replacing the CR123A battery. Regular battery checks are recommended to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Reticle Not Illuminating: Check the battery. Ensure it is a fresh CR123A battery and is inserted with the correct polarity. Tighten the battery cap securely.
  • Reticle Appears Dim: Adjust the brightness settings using the Plus (+) button. If in night vision mode, ensure it is set to an appropriate brightness level for your environment.
  • Reticle Flickering: This can sometimes occur with holographic sights. Ensure the battery is fully seated and the cap is tight. If the issue persists, try a new battery.
  • Sight Not Holding Zero: Ensure the sight is securely mounted to the rail. Check that the quick-release lever is fully engaged and tightened. Verify that the rail itself is stable and not loose.
  • Fogging Lenses: The sight is O-ring sealed for fogproof performance. If fogging occurs internally, contact Vortex Optics customer support. External fogging can be wiped away with a lens cloth.

For issues not resolved by these steps, please refer to the Warranty and Support section.
