2. Setup
2.1 Power Connection
Connect the included AC power adapter to the DC 12V input on the rear panel of the Wavestate MKII. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting or disconnecting power.
2.2 Audio Connections
For audio output, use standard 1/4-inch cables to connect the L/MONO and R OUTPUT jacks to your mixer, audio interface, or amplifier. For stereo output, use both L/MONO and R jacks. For mono output, use only the L/MONO jack. A dedicated 1/4-inch headphone jack is also available for private monitoring.
2.3 MIDI and USB Connectivity
The Wavestate MKII features MIDI IN and OUT ports for connecting to other MIDI devices. A USB Type A port is provided for connection to a computer, enabling MIDI communication and data transfer. This allows for integration with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and software editors.
2.4 Pedal Input
A dedicated DAMPER input is available for connecting a sustain pedal, allowing for expressive control over note sustain.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
To power on the Wavestate MKII, ensure all connections are secure, then flip the power switch located on the rear panel to the ON position. To power off, flip the switch to the OFF position.
3.2 Navigating the Interface
The Wavestate MKII features a central display screen and various buttons and knobs for navigation and parameter editing. Use the VALUE knob and PAGE buttons to browse through menus and adjust settings. The SHIFT button provides access to secondary functions.

3.3 Wave Sequencing 2.0
The core of the Wavestate MKII's sound engine is Wave Sequencing 2.0. This allows for complex, evolving sounds by sequencing up to four 'Lanes' (Timing, Sample, Pitch, Shape, Gate, Step Seq). Each lane can be looped independently, randomized, and modulated, offering dynamic sonic possibilities. Dedicated buttons and knobs on the front panel provide direct access to these parameters.

3.4 Performance Controls
The Wavestate MKII includes a Mod Wheel, Pitch Wheel, and a Vector Joystick for real-time performance control and modulation. Eight programmable knobs (X-Programm/Performance -Modknopf) allow for assignment to various parameters, offering immediate tactile control over your sound.

3.7 Official Product Video
Video 1: This video, titled "Introducing the MicroKorg2" by a Seller, demonstrates general operation and sound design capabilities of a Korg synthesizer. While it features the MicroKorg2, many operational principles and sound manipulation techniques are similar across Korg's synthesizer line, offering useful insights for Wavestate MKII users.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean the Wavestate MKII, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by a dry cloth.
4.2 Storage
Store the synthesizer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. When not in use, cover the instrument with a dust cover to protect it from dust and debris. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the unit.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 No Power
If the unit does not power on, check the power adapter connection to both the synthesizer and the wall outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the ON position. Try a different power outlet to rule out electrical issues.
5.2 No Sound Output
Verify that audio cables are securely connected to the correct output jacks on the Wavestate MKII and to the input of your audio system. Check the volume levels on both the synthesizer and your audio system. Ensure headphones are not plugged in if you intend to use the main outputs. Confirm that the selected program is producing sound.
5.3 MIDI Communication Issues
Check MIDI cable connections between the Wavestate MKII and your external device or computer. Ensure correct MIDI channels are selected on both the synthesizer and the connected device. For USB MIDI, confirm that the necessary drivers (if any) are installed on your computer and that the device is recognized.
