1. Overview

The AIYIMA DP01 is a compact digital audio player and preamplifier designed to deliver high-quality audio playback. 4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

1. Ensure the DP01 is placed on a stable, flat surface.
2. Connect the provided 12V DC power adapter to the "DC 12V" input port on the rear panel of the DP01.
3. Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet.

4.2 Audio Output Connection

Connect the DP01 to your amplifier, active speakers, or other audio receiving equipment using one of the following methods:

• RCA Output: Use an RCA cable to connect the DP01's RCA L/R outputs to the corresponding analog inputs on your amplifier or active speakers.
• Optical Output (OPT): Use an optical fiber cable to connect the DP01's OPT output to a digital optical input on your receiver or DAC.

4.3 Input Source Connection

The DP01 supports playback from SD cards, USB flash drives, and external hard drives.

• SD Card: Insert an SD card (up to 512GB) into the "SD CARD" slot on the rear panel.
• USB Drive/Hard Disk: Insert a USB flash drive or connect an external hard drive (up to 2TB) to the "USB" port on the rear panel.

5. Operation

5.1 Basic Controls

1. Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button on the front panel to power the device.
2. Menu Navigation: Use the MENU button to enter the main menu. Use the Previous/Next Track buttons to navigate through options and the Play/Pause button to select. The Return button goes back.
3. Playback: Once a media source (SD card, USB drive) is inserted, the device will typically detect it. Navigate to your desired audio files using the menu and press Play/Pause to begin playback.

5.2 Remote Control

5.3 VU Meter Functionality

The retro VU meter dynamically displays the audio signal level. It can be configured to show internal signals (from playing media) or external signals (via microphone recording, if available in settings).

5.4 Setting Optical/Coaxial Output

To configure the digital optical or coaxial output, follow these steps:

1. Access the system settings. This can typically be done via the remote control's "Settings" button or by navigating through the device's menu.

3. Enable the "Optical / Coaxial output" mode.

• No Power:
  • Ensure the 12V DC power adapter is securely connected to the DP01 and a working power outlet.
  • Verify the power outlet is active.
• No Sound Output:
  • Check all audio cable connections between the DP01 and your amplifier/speakers.
  • Confirm the correct input source is selected on your amplifier/speakers.

  • The DP01 may not support gapless playback for all formats, which can result in brief pauses between tracks.
• Remote Control Not Working:
  • Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and are not depleted.
  • Point the remote directly at the IR receiver on the front panel of the DP01.
  • Remove any obstructions between the remote and the DP01.
