3. Setup Instructions

  1. Charge the Device: The MINIDX3 includes a 3.7V 250 MAH rechargeable battery. Connect the device to a computer or USB power adapter using the provided USB cable to charge it before first use.
  2. Software Installation: Insert the included Software CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the necessary drivers and software. If your computer does not have a CD drive, drivers may be available for download from the manufacturer's website.
  3. Connect to Computer: Once the software is installed, connect the MINIDX3 reader to your computer via the USB cable. The system should recognize the device automatically.

4. Operating Instructions

The MINIDX3 is designed for straightforward operation without complex programming.

  2. Reading Magnetic Cards: Gently swipe a magnetic stripe card through the reader slot. The device can read all three tracks of 300-4000 OE (Lo-co and Hi-co) magnetic cards. Ensure the magnetic stripe faces the reader head.
  3. Data Transfer: After reading cards, connect the MINIDX3 to your computer via USB. The collected data can be downloaded to your computer using the installed software, compatible with MSR605X, MSRX6, and MSRX6BT systems.
  4. Auto Power Off: The device features an auto power-off function, which can be configured by the user to conserve battery life.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
