1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the Amico 6-inch Smart LED Recessed Lighting. This product features Wi-Fi connectivity, RGB and tunable white (2700K-6500K) color changing capabilities, dimming, and smart control options via an app and voice commands.

2. Safety Information

3. Installation

3.1. Tools Required

• Hole Saw (6.4 inches recommended)
• Wire Strippers
• Screwdriver

3.2. Installation Steps

1. Turn off Power: Ensure the power supply to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker.
2. Cut a Hole: Use a 6.4-inch hole saw to cut a circular hole in the ceiling at the desired location.

3. Connect Wiring: Open the junction box and connect the household electrical wires (live, neutral, ground) to the corresponding wires in the junction box using the provided quick connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.

4. Connect Light Panel: Plug the cable from the recessed light panel into the junction box.

5. Mount Light: Push the junction box into the ceiling opening. Then, push the recessed light fixture into the hole, ensuring the spring clips secure it firmly against the ceiling.

4. Smart Control Setup

4.1. App Download and Device Pairing

1. Download App: Download the "Smart Life" or "Joinin Home" app from your smartphone's app store.
2. Login/Register: Open the app and log in or create a new account.
3. Enter Pairing Mode: Turn the light fixture OFF and ON five times (approximately 1-second intervals) using the wall switch. The light will begin flashing, indicating it is in pairing mode.
4. Add Device: In the app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon. Select "Lighting" or "Smart Light" from the device categories.

5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name and password when prompted. The app will then search for and connect to the light.

6. Complete Setup: Once connected, you can name the device and complete the setup.

4.2. Voice Control Integration (Alexa/Google Assistant)

1. Link Account: In the Smart Life/Joinin Home app, navigate to "Me" or "Profile" and select "Third-party voice service" (e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant).

5.1. App Control

The Smart Life/Joinin Home app provides comprehensive control over your Amico smart recessed lights.

• Power On/Off: Tap the light icon to turn lights on or off.
• Color Changing: Select from 16 million RGB colors or adjust white color temperature between 2700K (warm white) and 6500K (cool white).

5.2. Group Control

To control multiple lights simultaneously, create groups within the app.

1. Select Device: In the app, select any connected light.
2. Edit: Tap the edit icon (usually a pencil or three dots).
3. Create Group: Select "Create Group."
