5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

1. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
2. Insert the battery pack into the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
3. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 1-2 hours.
4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

5.2 Installing/Removing the Battery

• Installation: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it locks securely.
• Removal: Press the battery release button (usually located on the side of the battery pack) and slide the battery out.

5.3 Installing/Removing Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits

1. Ensure the drill is switched off and the forward/reverse switch is in the center (locked) position.
2. Rotate the chuck collar counter-clockwise to open the chuck jaws.
3. Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck. Ensure it is centered and fully seated.
4. Rotate the chuck collar clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Hand-tighten only; do not use pliers.
5. To remove a bit, rotate the chuck collar counter-clockwise until the jaws open sufficiently.

5.4 Adjusting Torque and Speed

• Torque Adjustment: Rotate the torque adjustment ring (located behind the chuck) to select the desired setting. Lower numbers are for driving small screws or working with soft materials. Higher numbers are for larger screws or harder materials. The drill icon setting is for drilling.
• Speed Selection: Use the 2-speed gear selector switch on top of the drill. Position '1' is for low speed (0-450 RPM) and high torque, suitable for screwdriving. Position '2' is for high speed (0-1350 RPM) and lower torque, ideal for drilling.

6.3 Screwdriving

Select a screwdriver bit that fits the screw head perfectly. Use a low speed and a lower torque setting to avoid stripping the screw head or damaging the workpiece. Increase the torque setting gradually if the screw is not driving fully.
