4. Setup

1. Unpack the Winder: Carefully remove the watch winder from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.
2. Placement: Place the watch winder on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields.
3. Connect Power: Locate the power input port on the back of the unit. Connect the provided 5V power adapter to the port and then plug it into a suitable power outlet.
4. Unlock the Door: Use the provided key to unlock the front door. Insert the key into the lock on the side of the unit and turn it to unlock.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Placing Watches on Winding Pillows

1. Gently compress the retractable spring watch pillow.
2. Fit your automatic watch securely onto the pillow. The flexible design accommodates various wrist sizes and watch dimensions.
3. Insert the watch with its pillow into one of the 6 winding slots. Ensure it is seated firmly.

5.2 Selecting Rotation Modes

The DUKWIN Watch Winder offers four distinct rotation modes. Consult your watch's manufacturer guidelines for the recommended Turns Per Day (TPD) and rotation direction. Use the control knobs located on the front panel to select the desired mode for each pair of winding slots.

• Mode 1: Rotates 2 minutes clockwise, rests for 6 minutes, then repeats the cycle.
• Mode 2: Rotates 2 minutes counter-clockwise, rests for 6 minutes, then repeats the cycle.
• Mode 3: Rotates 2 minutes clockwise, rests for 6 minutes, then rotates 2 minutes counter-clockwise, rests for 6 minutes, then repeats the cycle.
• Mode 4: Rotates 5 minutes clockwise, then 5 minutes counter-clockwise, repeats for 3 hours, then rests for 9 hours, then repeats the cycle.

5.3 Internal LED Illumination

The watch winder features built-in white LED lighting. This can be turned on or off using the dedicated switch located on the back panel of the unit.

5.4 Door Sensor and Lock

• The winder is equipped with a door sensor that pauses rotation when the door is opened, preventing accidental damage.
• Use the provided key to lock the front door for added security.

6. Storage Options

6.1 Additional Watch Storage

Below the winding slots, there are 5 additional spaces with soft pillows for storing watches that do not require winding, such as quartz watches, or for temporary storage of automatic watches.

6.2 Jewelry Storage Drawer

A pull-out drawer is located at the bottom of the unit, providing convenient storage for jewelry or other small accessories.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth (such as the provided cleaning cloth) to wipe the exterior of the winder. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Dusting: Regularly dust the interior and exterior to prevent dust accumulation, especially on the transparent window and piano finish.
• Placement: Ensure the winder is placed on a stable surface to prevent vibrations that could affect its operation or damage watches.

8. Troubleshooting

• Winder Not Operating:
  • Check if the power adapter is securely plugged into both the winder and the power outlet.
  • Ensure the main power switch on the back of the unit is in the "ON" position.
  • Verify that the door is fully closed, as the door sensor will pause operation when open.
• Excessive Noise:
  • Ensure the winder is placed on a flat, stable surface.
  • Check that watches are properly seated on the pillows and not rubbing against the interior.
  • The DUKWIN winder uses an ultra-quiet motor (less than 5dB). If unusual noise persists, contact customer support.
• Watch Not Winding:
  • Confirm the correct rotation mode (clockwise, counter-clockwise, or alternating) is selected for your specific watch model. Refer to your watch's manual for its winding requirements.
