3. Setup & Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your WALI Solar Fake Security Camera.
- Prepare the Camera: Gently rotate the camera section to access the battery compartment.
- Install Batteries: Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Select Mounting Location: Choose a suitable location for installation. The camera can be mounted indoors or outdoors. For optimal solar charging, select a spot that receives direct sunlight for several hours daily.
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the camera's mounting base against the desired surface and mark the positions for the three screw holes using a pencil.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. If mounting on a masonry or concrete surface, insert the provided wall anchors into the pilot holes.
- Mount the Camera: Align the camera's mounting base with the drilled holes. Secure the camera to the wall or ceiling using the provided screws.
- Adjust Angle: Adjust the camera's angle to the desired position. The camera offers a ±90° tilt adjustment.
- Apply Warning Sticker: Place the warning security alert sticker decal in a visible location near the dummy camera to enhance its deterrent effect.

4. Operation
The WALI Solar Fake Security Camera is designed for simple, continuous operation.
- Flashing LED: Once batteries are installed, the red LED light on the front of the camera will begin to flash, simulating active surveillance.
- Solar Power: The integrated solar panel charges the installed AA batteries during daylight hours, extending battery life and ensuring continuous operation.
- Battery Backup: When solar power is insufficient (e.g., at night or on cloudy days), the camera automatically draws power from the AA batteries.
- Weatherproof Design: The camera's IP65 water-resistant rating ensures reliable performance in various weather conditions, including rain and sun exposure.

5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your dummy camera, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Clean Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may obstruct sunlight and reduce charging efficiency.
- Check Batteries: Although solar-powered, it is recommended to check the AA batteries every 6-12 months, especially if the flashing LED appears dim or stops working. Replace with fresh batteries if needed.
- Inspect Mounting: Occasionally check that the camera is securely mounted and that screws are tight.
