2. Safety Information

2.1 General Safety Precautions

4. Assembly and Setup
The EVERCROSS EK6 Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly and prepare for your first ride.
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging.
- Remove all protective wrapping and ties.
- Check the packing list to ensure all parts are present.
4.2 Handlebar Installation
- Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube.
- Align the handlebars with the front wheel.
- Tighten the stem bolt securely.
4.3 Pedal Installation
- Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals.
- The right pedal (R) threads clockwise.
- The left pedal (L) threads counter-clockwise.
- Tighten pedals firmly with a wrench.
4.4 Seat Post and Saddle Adjustment
- Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube.
- Adjust the saddle height so your feet can comfortably touch the ground when seated.
- Secure the quick-release lever or bolt.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn on the bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display.
- To turn off, press and hold the power button again.
5.2 Riding Modes
The EK6 offers three distinct riding modes:

- Bike Mode (Pedal Only): With the power off, the bike functions as a traditional bicycle.
- Pedal-Assist Mode (PAS): Power is on, and the motor provides assistance as you pedal. The level of assistance can be adjusted via the display. This mode offers a range of 28-62 miles depending on terrain and assist level.
- Throttle Mode: Power is on, and the bike can be propelled solely by the throttle, without pedaling. The maximum speed in this mode is 20 MPH.
5.3 Gear Shifting
The 7-speed Shimano gears allow you to adjust your pedaling effort to suit different terrains and speeds. Shift gears smoothly by pedaling lightly while operating the shifter.
5.4 Braking
The EK6 is equipped with front and rear disc brakes. Apply both brake levers simultaneously for effective and controlled stopping. Practice braking in a safe area to get accustomed to the bike's stopping power.

5.5 Terrain Adaptability
The 20" x 4.0 fat tires and dual suspension make the EK6 suitable for a variety of terrains, including city roads, sand roads, mountain roads, and even light snow.

6. Battery Information
Proper battery care ensures optimal performance and longevity.
6.1 Charging the Battery
- The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed.
- Connect the charger to the charging port on the battery, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
- The indicator light on the charger will typically turn red during charging and green when fully charged.
- A full charge takes approximately 6-7 hours.
6.2 Battery Care and Storage
- Avoid completely draining the battery. Charge it regularly, even if not in use.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50-60% every 2-3 months.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for the safety, performance, and longevity of your electric bike.
7.1 Routine Checks (Before Each Ride)
- Tires: Check tire pressure and for any signs of wear or damage.
- Brakes: Ensure brake levers are firm and responsive, and brake pads are not excessively worn.
- Fasteners: Verify all bolts and quick-release levers are securely tightened.
- Battery: Check battery level and ensure it is securely seated.
- Lights: Test front and rear lights for proper function.
7.2 Periodic Maintenance
- Chain: Clean and lubricate the chain regularly (every 100-200 miles or as needed).

- Spokes: Periodically check spoke tension and true wheels if necessary.
- Cleaning: Clean the bike with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
