Setup

Before first use, carefully unpack all components and remove any packaging materials. Ensure all plates are securely installed. Place the unit on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface away from walls and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.

Initial Cleaning:

1. Remove the cooking plates by pressing the release buttons located on the side of the unit.
2. Wash the plates with warm, soapy water or place them in the dishwasher.
3. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

Operating Instructions

The GreenPan Elite offers intuitive controls for various cooking modes. Always ensure the correct plates are installed for your desired function.

Powering On and Plate Selection:

1. Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
2. Press the 'Start/Stop' button to turn the unit on.
3. Use the 'Plate Select' dial to choose your heating preference: 'Upper' (top plate only), 'Lower' (bottom plate only), or 'Both' (both plates).
4. For waffle cooking, ensure waffle plates are installed and select 'Waffle' mode using the 'Plate Select' dial.

Temperature and Time Settings:

• Use the 'Temp/Shade' dial to adjust the cooking temperature. The display will show the selected temperature.
• For waffle mode, the 'Temp/Shade' dial controls the waffle shade (light to dark).
• Use the 'Time' dial to set the cooking duration. The unit will preheat to the set temperature and then begin the countdown.
• The 'Sear' button provides a high-heat burst for searing meats, reaching up to 500°F.

Plate Types and Usage

The GreenPan Elite comes with reversible grill/griddle plates and supports optional waffle plates, expanding your cooking possibilities.

Grill Plates:

• Ideal for searing meats, grilling vegetables, and creating grill marks on paninis.
• Can be used in contact mode (closed) or open flat for a larger grilling surface.

Griddle Plates:

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your GreenPan Elite Multi-Function Contact Grill & Griddle.

Daily Cleaning:

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Remove the cooking plates by pressing the release buttons.
• The Thermolon Volt ceramic nonstick plates are dishwasher safe. For best results and to prolong the nonstick coating, hand washing with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge is recommended.
• Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Empty and clean the integrated drip tray after each use.
