3. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and labels from the kettle and its base.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with water to the MAX line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Position the Base: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the cord is not dangling or in a position where it can be pulled or tripped over.
4. Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN line or above the MAX line (1.8L). Overfilling may cause boiling water to overflow.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Place on Base: After filling, securely place the kettle onto its power base.
2. Power On: Plug the power base into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power switch located on the handle or base to begin heating. The blue LED lights will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is active.
3. Boiling Process: The water will begin to heat rapidly. Observe the bubbles forming through the clear glass body.
4. Automatic Shut-Off: Once the water reaches a rolling boil, the kettle will automatically shut off, and the blue LED lights will extinguish. This feature also activates if the kettle runs dry.
5. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water as needed. The cool-touch handle ensures safe handling.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Chefman Electric Kettle.

• Daily Cleaning: After each use, unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely. The kettle should be hand washed. The removable lid makes it easy to access the interior for cleaning.
• Descaling: Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture for a few minutes if the buildup is heavy. Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
