5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On and Warm-Up

6.2. Preparing Documents

  1. Select a laminating pouch appropriate for your document size. The Ion 95 supports a 9.5-inch entry width, accommodating various document sizes.
  2. Open the laminating pouch and carefully place your document inside, ensuring it is centered and there is an even border around the edges.
  3. Ensure the document is flat and free of wrinkles before laminating.

6.3. Laminating

  1. Once the green 'READY' light is on, insert the sealed edge of the laminating pouch into the entry slot.
  2. The laminator will automatically feed the pouch through. Do not pull or push the pouch during the laminating process.
  3. The laminated document will exit from the rear slot. Allow it to cool on a flat surface before handling.

6.4. Jam Release

In the event of a misfeed or jam:

  1. Immediately push and hold the jam release lever, typically located near the entry slot.
  2. Gently pull the pouch out of the entry slot.
  3. Release the lever and ensure the pouch is properly aligned before attempting to re-insert it or a new pouch.

6.5. Automatic Shut-Off

The Fellowes Ion 95 is equipped with an energy-saving automatic shut-off feature. If the laminator is inactive for a period of time, it will automatically power down. To resume operation, simply turn the power switch off and then on again, and allow it to warm up.
