Unpacking

Placement

  • Place the microwave oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation: allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the top, sides, and rear for proper airflow.
  • Keep the appliance away from heat and steam sources.

Electrical Requirements

  • The microwave requires a standard 120V, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet.

Turntable Installation

  • Place the turntable ring securely in the center depression on the oven floor.
  • Position the glass turntable tray on top of the ring, ensuring it sits properly on the center hub.

Setting the Clock

  1. Press the Clock button once.
  2. Use the numeric keypad to enter the current time (e.g., 12:30 for 12:30 PM).
  3. Press the Clock button again to confirm.

Basic Microwave Cooking

  1. Place food in a microwave-safe container on the turntable.
  2. Press the Time Cook button.
  3. Enter the desired cooking time using the numeric keypad.
  4. Press the Power button, then use the numeric keypad to select a power level (1-10, 10 being 100%).
  5. Press Start/+30 Sec to begin cooking.

Express Cooking

  • For quick cooking at 100% power, simply press any number from 1 to 6 on the keypad for 1 to 6 minutes of cooking time.
  • The Start/+30 Sec button adds 30 seconds of cooking time at 100% power with each press, or can be used to extend cooking during operation.

One-Touch Cooking Programs

The microwave includes 6 pre-programmed settings for common food items:

  • Press the desired program button (Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Vegetable, Beverage, Dinner Plate).
  • Follow any on-screen prompts for quantity (if applicable).
  • Press Start/+30 Sec to begin.

Defrosting

  • Weight Defrost: Press Weight Defrost, enter the food's weight in pounds (e.g., 1.0 for 1 pound), then press Start/+30 Sec.
  • Time Defrost: Press Time Defrost, enter the desired defrosting time, then press Start/+30 Sec.

Memory Function

To save a frequently used cooking setting:

  1. Set your desired cooking time and power level (do not press Start).
  2. Press the Memory button.
  3. To recall, press Memory, then Start/+30 Sec.

Child Safety Lock

  • To activate: Press and hold the Stop/Cancel button for 3 seconds. A lock indicator will appear on the display.
  • To deactivate: Press and hold the Stop/Cancel button for 3 seconds again. The lock indicator will disappear.
