Setup
1. Charging the Battery

2. Power On/Off

3. Setting Channel and Sub-code
The QNIGLO Q268 offers 8 main channels and 99 sub-codes (encryption codes) for private conversations. All walkie talkies intended to communicate must be set to the same main channel and sub-code.
- Short press the Menu button. The channel number will flash.
- Use the Up or Down buttons to select your desired main channel (1-8).
- Short press the Menu button again. The sub-code will flash.
- Use the Up or Down buttons to select your desired sub-code (0-99). Setting the sub-code to 0 will disable it.
- Short press the Menu button one more time or wait a few seconds for the setting to be saved automatically.
Operating Instructions
1. Making a Call (PTT)
To communicate with another walkie talkie:
- Ensure both walkie talkies are on the same channel and sub-code.
- Press and hold the PTT button located on the side of the device. Speak clearly into the microphone.
- Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and listen for a response.
2. VOX Function (Hands-Free)
The VOX function allows you to transmit without pressing the PTT button, activating transmission automatically when you speak.
- Short press the Menu button until "VOX" appears on the LCD screen.
- Use the Up or Down buttons to select a VOX sensitivity level (1-3, with 3 being most sensitive). Select "OFF" to disable VOX.
- Press the PTT button or wait a few seconds to confirm the setting.

3. Monitoring and Scanning
- Monitor Function: Press and hold the MON button to listen for weak signals on the current channel.
- Scan Function: Short press the Menu button until "SCAN" appears. Use the Up or Down buttons to start scanning active channels. Press PTT to stop scanning.
4. Call Tones
You can send a call tone to alert other users on the same channel.
- Short press the Call/Ring button to send a default call tone.
- To change the call tone: Short press the Menu button until "CA" appears. Use the Up or Down buttons to select one of the 10 available call tones. Press PTT or wait to confirm.
5. Keypad Lock
