4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper setup and installation of your freezer.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Choose a location with a solid, level floor capable of supporting the freezer's weight when fully loaded. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space around the sides and back for proper air circulation. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

  • Temperature Control: The freezer features 9 temperature levels, accessible via a dial on the front of the unit. Rotate the dial to select the desired cooling intensity. Higher numbers typically indicate colder settings.
  • Security Lock: Use the integrated security lock to prevent unauthorized access, especially important in households with children. Insert the key and turn to lock or unlock the lid.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your freezer.

  • Defrosting: Over time, frost will accumulate. Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches about 0.5 cm (0.2 inches) thick. To defrost:
    • Unplug the freezer.
    • Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
    • Open the drain plug located at the bottom of the freezer to allow water to escape. Place a shallow pan or towel underneath to collect the water.
