- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
- Initial Run (Optional but Recommended): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10 minutes at 200°C to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight odor may be present, which is normal and will dissipate.
4. Operating Instructions
Basic Operation:
- Prepare Food: Place the ingredients you wish to air fry into the air fryer basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking.
- Insert Basket: Slide the air fryer basket back into the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Set Temperature: Turn the temperature control dial to your desired cooking temperature (80°C - 200°C).
- Set Timer: Turn the timer dial to the required cooking time (up to 60 minutes). The air fryer will begin heating immediately.
- Monitor Cooking: Utilize the transparent viewing window to observe the cooking progress without needing to open the basket, thus maintaining consistent temperature.
- Shake Basket (Optional): For some foods, it may be necessary to shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping. Carefully pull out the basket, shake, and reinsert. The air fryer will resume operation.
- Completion: The timer will ring when the set cooking time has elapsed, and the air fryer will automatically shut off.
- Remove Food: Carefully pull out the basket and empty the cooked food onto a plate. Use heat-resistant tongs to remove food.
- Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
Cooking Tips:
- For best results, preheat the air fryer for 3-5 minutes before adding food.
- Lightly brush or spray food with oil for extra crispiness, especially for fresh vegetables or homemade fries.
- Smaller food items usually require a shorter cooking time than larger items.
- The Mellerware Vitality XL Air Fryer is suitable for baking, broiling, reheating, and roasting a variety of foods.

Regular cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your air fryer.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Clean Basket: The air fryer basket is non-stick. Clean it with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, soak the basket in hot soapy water for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
- Clean Interior: Wipe the interior of the air fryer with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the air fryer in a cool, dry place.
