Setup
1. Download the Application
Search for and download the 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' application from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Register or Log In
Open the application and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Plug In the Smart Plug
Insert the EIGHTREE Smart WiFi Plug into a standard wall outlet. The indicator light on the plug should begin to blink, indicating it is in pairing mode.

4. Add Device in App (Easy Installation)
Open the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app. The app should automatically detect the new device via Bluetooth and prompt you to add it. Confirm the device and ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz.

If the device is not automatically detected, manually add it by selecting 'Add Device' (usually a '+' icon) and choosing 'Electrical Outlet' or 'Smart Plug' from the device list. Follow the in-app instructions to connect to your 2.4GHz WiFi network.
5. Rename the Device
Once connected, you can rename the smart plug within the app for easier identification (e.g., "Living Room Lamp," "Coffee Machine").
Operating the Smart Plug
1. Manual Control
You can manually turn the connected appliance on or off directly from the Smart Life/Tuya Smart application by tapping the device icon.
2. Voice Control (Alexa/Google Home)
To enable voice control, link your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account with Amazon Alexa or Google Home through their respective applications. Once linked, you can use voice commands:
- "Alexa, turn on [Device Name]."
- "Hey Google, turn off [Device Name]."

Troubleshooting
1. Plug Not Connecting to WiFi
- Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The plug does not support 5GHz WiFi.
- Check if your WiFi router is within range and functioning correctly.
- Reset the smart plug by unplugging it and plugging it back in, or by pressing and holding the power button on the plug for 5-10 seconds until the indicator light blinks rapidly.
- Restart your router.
2. Voice Control Not Working
- Verify that your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to Alexa or Google Home.
- Ensure the device name in the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app matches the name used in your voice assistant app.
- Check your internet connection.
3. App Control Issues
