1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning or servicing.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • This fan is intended for outdoor use. Do not use indoors unless the misting function is disconnected.
  • Do not immerse fan in water or other liquids.
  • The fan is equipped with an IP44 enclosed motor and a GFCI plug for wet locations. Ensure the GFCI plug is functioning correctly before each use.
  • Keep children and pets away from the fan during operation.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your HiCFM Misting Pedestal Fan:

  1. Attach Stand Pole to Base: Secure the stand pole to the heavy-duty metal base using the provided screws. Ensure the connection is firm and stable.
  2. Mount Fan Head: Carefully place the fan head onto the top of the stand pole. Align the mounting holes and secure the fan head with the designated bolts.
  3. Connect Misting Kit (Optional): The mist spray ring is pre-installed on the fan head. Connect the misting kit's hose to a standard garden hose for water supply.

5. Operating Instructions

Your HiCFM Misting Pedestal Fan offers powerful airflow and an optional misting function for enhanced cooling.

5.1 Powering On/Off

Plug the 9-foot power cord with the manual GFCI plug into a suitable outdoor-rated electrical outlet. Press the reset button on the GFCI plug if necessary. Use the pull chain switch located on the fan motor housing to turn the fan on or off.

5.2 Speed Control

The fan features three adjustable speeds: High (4400 CFM), Medium (3600 CFM), and Low (3000 CFM). Cycle through the speeds using the pull chain switch.

5.3 Tilting Adjustment

The fan head can be tilted up to 120 degrees (60 degrees up, 60 degrees down) to direct airflow. Loosen the tilting fix knobs on either side of the fan head, adjust to the desired angle, and then tighten the knobs securely.

5.4 Misting Function

To activate the misting function, ensure the mist spray ring is attached to the fan head and connected to a garden hose. Turn on the water supply to the hose. The fan can be used with or without the misting function.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your fan.

6.1 Cleaning the Fan

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • To clean the fan blades, remove the front grille (if applicable and safe to do so according to specific product design) and wipe the blades with a soft cloth. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly and use.

6.2 Cleaning Mist Nozzles

The four brass nozzles on the misting ring can be loosened and cleaned using air pressure to prevent clogging. Regularly inspect and clean them, especially if using hard water.

6.3 Cord Storage

For convenient storage, wrap the power cord around the integrated cord wrap on the fan housing.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your fan, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Fan does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
    • Check the GFCI plug and press the reset button if it has tripped.
    • Verify the pull chain switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Misting function not working or weak:
    • Check that the garden hose is properly connected and the water supply is turned on.
    • Inspect the mist nozzles for clogs. Clean them using air pressure if necessary.
    • Ensure adequate water pressure from your hose.
  • Excessive Noise:
    • Ensure the fan is placed on a stable, level surface.
    • Check for any obstructions around the fan blades or grille.
    • Tighten any loose screws or bolts on the fan head or stand.
