7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor mount.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Tightness Check: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight, especially after making significant adjustments or moving the mount.
- Lubrication: No lubrication is typically required for this product. If joints become stiff, ensure no debris is present and check for overtightened bolts.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your monitor mount, refer to the common problems and solutions below.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Monitors are not level | Uneven installation or VESA plate adjustment. | Loosen the level adjustment screw on the VESA plate, adjust the monitor to be level, and re-tighten. |
| Monitor sags or tilts down | Tilt tension screw is too loose or monitor is too heavy. | Tighten the tilt adjustment screw on the VESA plate. Ensure monitor weight is within specifications (max 18 lbs per arm). |
| Mount is unstable or wobbles | Desk clamp/grommet base is not tight enough or desk is not sturdy. | Re-tighten the desk clamp or grommet base. Ensure your desk is stable and within the specified thickness range. |
| Difficulty adjusting arm movement | Joints are too tight. | Slightly loosen the bolts at the arm joints using the appropriate Allen key. Do not loosen excessively. |
