3. Setup
3.1. Mounting the Scope
The UUQ 3-9x40 Rifle Scope comes with two 20mm mounts designed for standard Picatinny rails. Ensure your rail size is 20mm for proper fitment. Use the included Allen wrench to secure the mounts firmly to your rifle and then attach the scope.

3.2. Installing the CR2032 Battery
The scope requires one CR2032 battery for the reticle illumination. To install, unscrew the illumination button cap located on the side of the scope. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up, then securely screw the cap back on.

3.3. Adjusting the Diopter
The diopter adjustment ring is located at the eyepiece. Rotate this ring until the reticle appears sharp and clear to your eye. This adjustment compensates for individual eyesight differences.
4. Operating the Scope
4.1. Magnification Adjustment
The scope offers a magnification range from 3x to 9x. Rotate the magnification ring, located near the eyepiece, to adjust the zoom level to your desired setting. This allows for clear viewing at various distances.

4.2. Reticle Illumination (Red/Green)
The scope features a dual-color illuminated reticle with five brightness levels for both red and green. Use the illumination dial on the side of the scope to select your preferred color and brightness setting, enhancing visibility in various lighting conditions.

4.3. Windage and Elevation Adjustments
The scope is equipped with capped windage and elevation turrets. Unscrew the caps to reveal the adjustment dials. Each click on the dial corresponds to 1/4 MOA (Minute of Angle) at 100 yards. Adjust these turrets to fine-tune your aim for horizontal (windage) and vertical (elevation) accuracy. The scope also features a lockable and resettable zero feature, allowing you to return to your zero setting easily after making temporary adjustments.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Lenses
Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the multi-coated lenses. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens coatings. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
5.2. General Care
Store the scope in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the flip-up lens covers are closed when not in use to protect the lenses from dust and debris. The scope's aircraft-grade aluminum construction and O-ring seals provide excellent waterproof and fog-proof performance, but proper care will extend its lifespan.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Reticle not illuminating | Battery is dead or incorrectly installed. | Replace the CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side faces up. Check battery contacts. |
| Blurry image | Diopter not adjusted correctly; lenses are dirty. | Adjust the diopter ring until the reticle is sharp. Clean the lenses with the provided cloth. |
| Scope not holding zero | Mounts are loose; scope is damaged. | Ensure mounts are securely tightened with the Allen wrench. If the problem persists, contact support. |
| Fogging inside the scope | Extreme temperature changes; seal compromise. | Allow the scope to acclimate to temperature changes. If fogging persists, contact support as the nitrogen fill may be compromised. |
