4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation and Charging
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert a 1050mAh Lithium Polymer battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- To charge, place the batteries in the provided charging dock and connect the USB cable to a power source. The indicator lights on the charger will show charging status.
4.2. MicroSD Card Insertion
- Locate the MicroSD card slot on the side of the camera.
- Insert the 64GB U3 MicroSD card (included) with the gold contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.
4.3. Using the Waterproof Case
- Ensure the camera is dry and clean before placing it into the waterproof case.
- Close the case firmly, ensuring the latch is fully secured to prevent water leakage.
- The camera is waterproof up to 40 meters (131 feet) when properly enclosed in its case.

4.4. Attaching Mounting Accessories

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the Power/Mode button on the front of the camera to turn it on or off.
5.2. Mode Selection
Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through different modes: Video, Photo, Playback, and Settings. The current mode will be displayed on the screen.
5.3. Recording and Capturing
- Video Recording: In Video mode, press the OK/Shutter button on top of the camera to start recording. Press it again to stop.
- Photo Capture: In Photo mode, press the OK/Shutter button to take a picture.
5.4. Adjusting Settings
In Settings mode, use the Up/Down buttons on the side of the camera to navigate through options and the OK/Shutter button to select. Key settings include:
- Video Resolution: Select from 4K 30fps, 2.7K 30fps, 1080P 120fps, 1080P 60fps, 1080P 30fps, 720P 240fps, 720P 120fps, 720P 60fps, 720P 30fps.
- Photo Resolution: Choose 20MP for high-quality stills.
- View Angle: Adjust between 170°, 140°, 110°, and 70°.
- Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS): Enable or disable for smoother footage.
- Wi-Fi: Turn on Wi-Fi to connect to the AKASO GO app on your smartphone or tablet for remote control and file transfer.
- HDMI: Connect the camera to an HDMI-compatible display for viewing content on a larger screen.

5.5. Using the Remote Control
The included remote control wristband allows you to start/stop recording or take photos without touching the camera. Pair the remote with the camera via the settings menu. Note that the remote wristband is not waterproof.

- Wi-Fi Connection Problems: Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on the camera and your mobile device. Ensure your device is within the 10-meter range. Restart both devices if issues persist.
- Water Leakage in Case: Immediately remove the camera from the case. Inspect the O-ring seal for any damage, dirt, or improper seating. Ensure the latch is fully closed.
