1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Toyotomi RS-G2424 Kerosene Heater. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new heater. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the appliance and keep it for future reference. Proper use ensures optimal performance and longevity of the product.

2. Safety Information

Your safety and the safety of others are paramount. Always follow these basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.

  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation when operating the heater. Kerosene heaters consume oxygen and produce carbon monoxide. Use in a well-ventilated area to prevent oxygen depletion and carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Fuel Type: Use only clean, clear kerosene (JIS Class 1 Kerosene). Never use gasoline, benzene, paint thinners, or other highly flammable liquids, as this can cause fire or explosion.
  • Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface, away from curtains, furniture, and other combustible materials. Maintain a minimum clearance of 3 feet (90 cm) from all sides.
  • Supervision: Never leave the heater unattended while in operation, especially around children or pets.
  • Refueling: Always turn off the heater and allow it to cool completely before refueling. Refuel outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
  • Storage: Store kerosene in a clearly marked, approved container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Moving: Do not move the heater while it is operating or still hot.
