1. Introduction
The Canon PowerShot V10 is a compact and versatile vlogging camera designed for content creators. It features a 15.2-megapixel 1-inch back-illuminated CMOS sensor, a fixed 19mm wide-angle lens, 4K video recording capabilities, and a built-in stand for flexible shooting. 2. What's in the Box
Before you begin, please ensure all items are present in your package:
- Camera Body (Canon PowerShot V10)
- USB-C to USB-C male/male Cable
- Wrist Strap

3. Setup
3.1. Charging the Battery
The PowerShot V10 uses a built-in Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the camera's USB-C port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

3.2. Inserting a microSD Card
The camera requires a microSD card (sold separately) to store photos and videos. Locate the card slot cover on the side of the camera. Open the cover and gently insert the microSD card with the contacts facing down until it clicks into place. Close the cover securely.
3.3. Initial Power On and Settings
Press and hold the power button (located on the back of the camera) to turn on the device. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the date, time, and language. Ensure the screen is flipped up for optimal viewing during setup.
4. Operating the Camera
4.1. Camera Controls Overview
Familiarize yourself with the main controls on the camera's rear panel:
- Power Button: Turns the camera on/off.
- Shutter Button: Located on the front, initiates video recording or captures a still photo.
- Menu Button: Accesses camera settings and options.
- SET/INFO Button: Confirms selections and displays information.

4.2. Video Recording
To start recording, ensure the camera is in video mode (if applicable, or simply press the shutter button). Press the large red shutter button on the front of the camera to begin recording. Press it again to stop. The camera supports 8-bit 4K video at up to 30 fps and Full HD video at up to 60 fps.
4.2.1. Color Filters
The PowerShot V10 includes 14 built-in color filters to enhance the mood and ambiance of your videos. Access these filters through the on-screen menu during recording or in settings.

4.3. Image Stabilization
The camera offers three image stabilization modes for video recording: Off, On, and Enhanced. Enhanced Image Stabilization (available with firmware version 1.2.0 or later) is recommended for shooting while walking or in motion to minimize camera shake.
4.4. Audio Capture
The PowerShot V10 features a pair of high-quality stereo microphones for clear audio capture. A third microphone is strategically placed to help reduce unwanted background noise, ensuring your voice or primary audio source is prominent.
4.5. Using the Built-in Stand
The integrated stand can fold out from the bottom of the camera, allowing it to stand upright on a flat surface. It can be adjusted to various angles (up to 30 degrees) for versatile hands-free shooting, whether you're recording yourself or a scene.

4.6. Connectivity and Live Streaming
The camera supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for easy transfer of files to a smartphone or computer. It also features live streaming capabilities, allowing you to broadcast directly to platforms. Connect the camera to your device via the Canon Camera Connect app for live preview and streaming functions.

The PowerShot V10 is also compatible with Canon's EOS Webcam Utility Pro Software, transforming it into a high-quality webcam for video calls and online content creation.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Camera
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens, use a lens cleaning brush or a specialized lens cloth and cleaning solution. Avoid using abrasive materials or strong chemical cleaners.
5.2. Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the camera to extreme temperatures. If storing the camera for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and recharge it every six months.
5.3. Storage
Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Use a protective case to prevent scratches and impacts when transporting the camera.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. Camera Not Turning On
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the camera to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Press and hold the power button firmly for a few seconds.
6.2. Video Quality Issues (Blurry, Grainy)
- Check if the lens is clean. Dust or smudges can affect image clarity.
- Ensure adequate lighting in your shooting environment. The camera performs best in well-lit conditions, though it has good low-light capabilities.
- Verify that the correct video resolution (4K or Full HD) is selected in the settings.
- Consider enabling or adjusting Image Stabilization settings if experiencing shakiness.
6.3. Connectivity Problems (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth)
- Ensure Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is enabled on both the camera and your smart device.
- Restart both the camera and your smart device.
- Make sure the Canon Camera Connect app is updated to the latest version.
- Try resetting the camera's network settings.
