3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dispenser from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Placement: Place the appliance on a dry, stable, and level countertop surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
- Install Drip Tray: Slide the detachable drip tray into its designated slot at the base of the dispenser.
- Install Filter: Open the water tank lid. Insert the UK AquaOptima (Strix) filter into its housing within the water tank. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with cold, potable water up to the maximum fill line indicated on the side of the tank. Do not overfill.
- Initial Cleaning Cycle: Before first use, it is recommended to run at least two full tanks of water through the dispenser without consuming the water. This helps to clean the internal components and prime the filter.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Ensure the dispenser is plugged in and the water tank is filled. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- Place Cup: Position a cup or mug on the drip tray directly under the water outlet spout.
- Dispense Hot Water: Press the dispense button located on the front of the unit. The dispenser will immediately start heating and dispensing hot water.
- Stop Dispensing: To stop the flow of hot water, press the dispense button again. The water flow will cease.
- Refilling: Monitor the water level indicator. When the water level is low, unplug the unit and refill the tank with cold, potable water.
Note: The dispenser operates on an instant heating system. There is no standby mode; to dispense, you turn the unit on, and to stop, you switch it off by pressing the button again. The maximum temperature reached is approximately 95 degrees Celsius.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Drip Tray: Regularly empty and clean the detachable drip tray. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Water Tank: Periodically clean the water tank. Remove the filter, wash the tank with warm, soapy water, rinse well, and dry before reassembling.
5.2 Filter Replacement
The UK AquaOptima (Strix) filter should be replaced regularly, typically every 1-2 months, depending on water hardness and usage. Refer to the filter manufacturer's instructions for specific replacement guidelines.
- Unplug the dispenser and remove the water tank lid.
- Carefully remove the old filter.
- Insert a new filter, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Refill the water tank and perform an initial cleaning cycle as described in the Setup section.
5.3 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the dispenser, especially in areas with hard water. Descale the unit every 3-6 months or as needed.
- Use a descaling solution suitable for hot water appliances, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) can be used.
- Run the descaling solution through the unit, then rinse thoroughly by running several tanks of fresh water through the dispenser.
6. Troubleshooting
