1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Carrera GO!!! DTM High Speed Showdown Slot Car Racing Set. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure safe and optimal performance. This product is an electric toy and is not recommended for children under 8 years of age. As with all electric products, precautions should be observed during handling and use to prevent electric shock. Contains small parts, which may present a choking hazard.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components listed below are present in your package:

• 1:43 Scale Track sections (various straights, curves, banked curve, flyover, 2 loops)
• Power Adapter (Type A - 2 pin North American)
• Two 1:43 Scale Cars: Ferrari 488 GT3 DTM "Red Bull AF Corse, No.30" and BMW M4 GT3 DTM "Sheldon van der Linde, No.31"
• Two Wired Speed Controllers with Turbo Button
• Connection Track with Lap Counter
• Track Supports
• Guardrails

3. Setup Instructions

Assembly time is approximately 30 minutes. Follow these steps to set up your racing track:

1. Prepare the Area: Choose a flat, stable surface for assembly. The assembled track dimensions are approximately 7.22 x 3.22 feet (220 x 98 cm).
2. Assemble Track Sections: Connect the track pieces by aligning the connectors and pressing them firmly together. Refer to the track layout diagram provided on the packaging or in the included assembly instructions for the recommended configuration. Ensure all connections are secure to maintain consistent power flow.
3. Install Supports and Guardrails: Attach the track supports to elevated sections like the flyover and loops. Place guardrails on the outer edges of curves to prevent cars from leaving the track.
4. Connect Power and Controllers:
   • Connect the power adapter to the connection track section.
   • Plug the two speed controllers into the designated ports on the connection track.
   • Ensure the power adapter is not plugged into a wall outlet until all other connections are complete.
5. Prepare Race Cars: Place the Ferrari 488 GT3 DTM and BMW M4 GT3 DTM cars onto the track. Ensure the guide keels are properly seated in the track slot and the contact brushes are flat against the track rails.
6. Power On: Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet. The track is now ready for racing.

4. Operating Instructions

This slot car set is designed for 1-2 players. Each player controls one car using a wired speed controller.

1. Starting the Race: Place both cars at the start/finish line.
2. Controlling Speed: Use the trigger on your speed controller to accelerate your car. Pull the trigger gently to control speed through curves and release it slightly to slow down.
3. Turbo Boost: Each controller features a turbo button. Press and hold this button for a temporary speed boost on straight sections. Use it strategically to overtake opponents or gain speed after a slow corner.
4. Lap Counter: The integrated lap counter will automatically record laps as cars pass the start/finish line.
5. Driving Tips:
   • Practice Speed Control: Mastering the balance between speed and control is key to staying on the track, especially through loops and banked curves.
   • Strategic Braking: Briefly releasing the trigger before a sharp turn can prevent your car from derailing.
   • Car Placement: Ensure cars are properly seated in the track slot before starting and after any derailments.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your slot car set.

• Track Cleaning: Keep track rails clean and free of dust or debris. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the metal contacts on the track sections.
• Car Brushes: The contact brushes on the underside of the cars can wear out or become bent. Ensure they are clean and make good contact with the track rails. Replace worn brushes as needed (replacement brushes are typically available separately).
• Guide Keel: Check the guide keel on each car for damage or wear. A damaged keel can cause cars to derail frequently.
• Storage: When not in use, store the track and cars in a dry, dust-free environment. Disassemble the track carefully if storing for extended periods.
