3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Battery Installation
The camera is powered by four 18650 lithium-ion batteries. Ensure they are inserted correctly according to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment.
- Locate the battery compartment on the camera.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert the four 18650 batteries, observing the correct positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
- Close the compartment cover securely.

3.2 Physical Mounting
The camera is designed for wall mounting. Choose a location that provides optimal surveillance coverage and receives sufficient sunlight for the solar panel.
- Select a suitable mounting surface.
- Use the wall bracket as a template to mark drilling points.
- Drill holes and insert the provided wall plugs.
- Secure the wall bracket using the fixing screws.
- Attach the camera to the mounted bracket and adjust its angle for desired coverage.

3.3 App Download and Pairing
To control and monitor your camera, download the free EMOS GoSmart app. The camera connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- Download the "EMOS GoSmart" app from Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS). You can also scan the QR codes below:
- Register or log in to your EMOS GoSmart account.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your new camera. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.
- The camera is compatible with Tuya and Smart Life platforms, and can be voice-controlled via Alexa and Google Assistant once set up in the EMOS GoSmart app.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Live View and Monitoring
Once connected, you can access the live video feed from your camera through the EMOS GoSmart app. This allows real-time monitoring of your property.
4.2 Motion Detection and Notifications
The camera is equipped with motion detection and advanced people recognition. When motion or a person is detected, you will receive a notification on your mobile phone.
- Adjusting Monitored Area: Within the app settings, you can define specific areas to monitor, excluding, for example, movements on a busy road to minimize false alerts.
- Sensitivity Settings: Adjust the sensitivity of motion detection to suit your environment.
4.3 Two-Way Audio (Intercom)
Use the intercom function in the app to communicate with individuals near the camera. This is useful for speaking to visitors or deterring intruders.
4.4 Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing clear black and white video up to 10 meters.
4.5 Recording and Storage
The camera supports video recording to a local SD card (not included) or to a cloud storage service (not included). Your data is stored in the secure AWS cloud in Germany if you opt for cloud storage.
- SD Card: Insert a compatible microSD card into the TF card slot (refer to Image 3.1).
- Cloud Storage: Check the EMOS GoSmart app for available cloud storage plans.
4.6 Siren Function
Activate the 105dB siren through the app to deter unwanted visitors or alert others to an event.
4.7 WebRTC (Virtual NVR) Function
The WebRTC function allows you to create a virtual surveillance center directly in your web browser, providing an alternative viewing and management interface.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Charging and Life
The integrated solar panel continuously charges the camera's lithium-ion batteries. For optimal performance, ensure the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum direct sunlight.
- If the camera's battery level is low due to insufficient sunlight, you can charge it using the provided charging cable via the USB port (refer to Image 3.1).
- Regularly check the battery status in the EMOS GoSmart app.
5.2 Cleaning
As an outdoor device, the camera may accumulate dirt or dust. Clean the lens and solar panel periodically with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality and efficient charging. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Camera Not Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks.
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Move the camera closer to the router if necessary.
- Verify that the Wi-Fi password entered in the app is correct.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router and the camera.
6.2 Poor Image Quality
- Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth.
- Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the lens.
- Check your internet connection speed. A slow connection can affect live stream quality.
6.3 Motion Detection Not Working or Too Many False Alarms
- Verify that motion detection is enabled in the EMOS GoSmart app settings.
- Adjust the motion detection sensitivity in the app.
- Utilize the "Adjust Monitored Area" feature to exclude irrelevant zones (e.g., public roads, swaying trees).
- Ensure the camera's view is not obstructed.
6.4 Battery Not Charging via Solar Panel
- Ensure the solar panel is clean and free of dirt or debris.
- Verify the solar panel is positioned to receive direct sunlight for several hours a day.
- Check the connection cable between the solar panel and the camera.
- In prolonged periods of low sunlight, consider charging the camera via the USB port.
