  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the monitor in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Handling: Always handle the monitor by its edges. Avoid applying pressure directly to the screen.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ASHATA Touchscreen Monitor, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

5.1. No Display / Black Screen

  • Check Power: Ensure the MicroUSB power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and a working 5V 2A power source. Verify the power indicator light (if present) on the monitor.
  • Check Video Cable: Confirm that the HD Multimedia Interface cable is firmly connected to both the monitor and your source device. Try a different HD Multimedia Interface cable if available.
  • Input Source: If your monitor has an input selection button, ensure the correct input source (e.g., HDMI) is selected.
  • Source Device Output: Verify that your source device (laptop, Raspberry Pi) is outputting a video signal and is configured to extend or duplicate its display.

5.2. Touch Function Not Working

  • USB Connection: For touch functionality, ensure that the MicroUSB cable is connected from the monitor's MicroUSB port to a USB data port on your source device. While the power cable is MicroUSB, some systems require a separate USB data connection for touch input.
  • Driver Installation: For Windows or Linux systems, ensure that the necessary touch drivers are installed. While OS X is plug and play, other systems might require specific drivers.
  • Restart Devices: Restart both the monitor and the connected source device.

5.3. No Sound from Speakers/Audio Jack

  • Volume Level: Check the volume settings on both the monitor (via OSD menu) and your source device.
  • Audio Output Selection: Ensure that the ASHATA monitor is selected as the default audio output device in your computer's sound settings.
  • HD Multimedia Interface Audio: Verify that your source device is sending audio over the HD Multimedia Interface cable.
  • External Audio Device: If using the audio jack, ensure your headphones or speakers are working correctly and are fully plugged in.
