3.4 Network Connectivity
Dual Ethernet ports are provided for network control via the "Control BASSBOSS" software. These ports include a built-in network switch, allowing for easy cascading of multiple units. Connect an Ethernet cable from your computer or network switch to one of the LAN ports for remote DSP control and future firmware updates.
4. Operation
4.1 Powering On/Off
Ensure all connections are secure before powering on. The power switch is located on the amplifier panel. Power on your audio source and mixer before the AT212-MK3, and power off the AT212-MK3 before your audio source and mixer to prevent transient noises.
4.2 Input Level Adjustment
Adjust the Input Level knob on the amplifier panel to achieve the desired volume. Monitor the Signal and Limiting LEDs to ensure proper gain staging and prevent clipping. The multi-stage limiters protect the drivers from excessive peaks and thermal overload.
4.3 DSP Presets
The AT212-MK3 features eight on-board DSP presets, selectable via the Preset Select button on the amplifier panel. These presets offer different configurations, including a full-range mode (response down to 45Hz) and various satellite modes optimized for use with BASSBOSS subwoofers. Refer to the "Control BASSBOSS" software for detailed descriptions of each preset and additional computer-accessible options.
4.4 Rotatable Horn
The 80 x 60-degree horn can be rotated to optimize coverage for different applications, such as ground stack, horizontal, or vertical flying. Consult a qualified technician for horn rotation procedures.
5. Maintenance
The AT212-MK3 is designed for durability. Regular maintenance is minimal but important for longevity:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the cabinet. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Grill Inspection: Periodically check the perforated steel grill for any damage or obstructions.
- Connection Check: Ensure all cables and connectors are clean and securely fastened before each use.
- Storage: When not in use, store the loudspeaker in a dry, temperate environment, ideally in its original packaging or a protective cover.
